Great job - I played it all the way to the end.  The UI is really easy to use - very intuitive.  For me, the "wall" was visually confusing.  Maybe some visual differentiation from the other pieces would help.  Level 17 was especially hard for me to see what was going on.

Developer(+1)

Actually you can rotate the level. Maybe it was not intuitive enough, thanks for playing and for the feedback : )

Submitted

I didn't expect that feature.   I tried rotating and, yep, that helps a lot.  Cool!

Very fun game, I loved the concept of programming actions. I've seen it done in a few jam now but your game made it very enjoyable, cosy and cute. The art made for a cute and lovable character you really routed for and sounds really complimented the game as well. The UI was clear and level design was well thought out. I think some rooms had a specific planned path, but I found an alternative? or maybe not idk...either way I enjoyed playing it a lot.

Developer(+1)

Yea, I didn't see that we could solve some rooms without following the planned paths. Thank you for playing !

Very cool and addictive game! I had to play it fully through :). I especially liked the chill music and sound effects, as well as the satisfying winning screen with the starts used by mobile games. Here is some feedback which might even improve the game further:

  • I think the text is a bit small for the coding part. I think you could have made it a bit bigger.
  • When you drag a command into the if statement it was not highlighted. It looked like you could not drag it in.
  • Not sure, but I think Level 18 was a bit too easy. Or I am super smart and found an easy solution :D. I just used: If wall ahead turn left; move forward. I did not need any other pieces.

Congratulations to this very nice and polished entry! I had fun playing this! Well done.

This one is my favorite for this Jam, and it also marked my 100th review. Just perfect.

Great puzzler about programming a robot. The difficulty level start easy and then quickly ramps up towards level 20.

Developer

Thanks! Yeah we wanted the later levels to make players think a bit more.

1) There is no use for the 3d, except to enhance the viduals. The game would work just as well in 2d as it is designed right now. 2) There is little motivation to go on playing except to beat the next level. A story or some cut scenes would have been nice. 3) To improve learning, you could provide hints for the  player.

Developer

Thank you for the feedbacks!

UPDATE - I need to emphasis that the educational aspect alone makes this game more valuable than this other jam submission https://insality.itch.io/robo-dance which is very similar and maybe more appealing. (personal opinion)

Developer

Thanks for the compliment. Robo-dance is actually better in my opinion haha, the gamefeel and the immersion is very good.

Submitted

That's courageous of you to admit that. As I said - maybe it is more attractive/immersive but your project has a long term value which Robo Dance doesn't. You should continue developing it.

Really Cool game!!!!

Developer

Thanks!
