Great to hear! Thank you for playing! :D

Growing up on text adventure games this was a nice revisiting of that mechanic. I liked having to go back and forth between steering and orders. A nice concept well executed. Amazing in 48h!

Developer(+2)

Glad you liked it! Thank you for playing! :D

That was amazing!  Very fun.  Since ship maneuvering inherently takes time and planning, and the commands are typed out, it makes for a fun panic!  The voicing of the commands is also fun and immersive

Thank you!!  We were lucky that we got a friend of ours to channel his inner pirate xD

If i had to describe the experience in one word, it would be “unique”. Art is amazing, love music and voice lines. The physical wheel and movement of the ship feels good. The game is hard in a good way, you know the more you play, the better you get. Very well done game!

Thanks a lot! That's exactly what we aimed for!

very fun gameplay, i love pirate games, not a huge fan of controlling things through text commands but in this case it gives some immersion so i guess its a nice thing to have, last time i saw some text command game was casting spells with the spell names, i think it was in tibia?

Thank you! Yeah, the idea was to not recreate a generic top-down pirate ship game, but instead to give it a new spin!

Thanks! What's your highscore?

the captain “talking” was a good touch. great entry

Developer(+1)

Fortunately, a friend of ours agreed to voice him! It took him multiple hours and many takes to record all the voicelines with 3-4 variations each! We had many more voicelines which sadly didn't make the cut into the game, but we planned to include them as easter eggs.

Very cool concept, it definitely feels like you need to plan ahead to aim at anything which seems thematically fitting
