Developer

Thanks everyone for your constructive feedback, I'm hearing a lot of things that I knew were wrong with it so that's re-assuring. I may revisit this little game in the future as I grow as a developer, but I'm proud that y'all enjoyed my literal first game ever.

I really liked the simplicity of the game, the mechanics at first got me off guard as i didn't know what was happening but then i realised so its no biggie.

I like how you jump from puddle to puddle, makes you kinda feel like a kid again.

Though if i go really fast at the start i have to wait for the next puddle which is kinda annoying it kinda destroys the ongoingness. (Idk if thas a word)

and I would like it more if he was in the middle of the puddle instead but that is just being nitpicky.

The game was overall pretty nice :)

Genuinely had a good time with the simple, but mechanically demanding gameplay. I'm a rhythm gamer so finding that rhythm at every speed jump and being challenged to keep up mechanically really worked for me.

For some feedback:

  • I think the target indicator was pretty hard to see during gameplay even after I noticed it. Maybe because of the similar colour to the player and/or its size combined with the quick movement.
  • Would have loved to see some music to tie in the vibes, visually it really works.

Awesome game, good speed scaling, although the point/controls/purpose of the game was hard to figure out at first.

For a first finished game? Nice! very cool story on the itch page, gets tricky after a bit got a score of 60 or so might play a bit more later
