  • A fun short game. We get very few first person perspective games so it's refreshing to see one added to this years jam. While short I found it cool with how you had to turn your character in order to interact with objects since your belly was too big for you to reach them properly. Pregnancy wise we have the main character pregnant though the course of the game. Story plays a role in telling the amount of children to expect as well as a loving husband who leaves notes for his wife. Gameplay is pretty basic, fun as mentioned above where you had to navigate though things and move in directions to interact with objects. Wish this puzzle like situation was played more into. Creativity mostly goes to the first person perspective of the game and realization of having to change how you interact with things as you grow larger. Finally the jam theme we see continued progression over the course of a few fade to blacks, moving a few months at a time. Short but good game!
  • An unexpected favorite of mine this jam. While it looks relatively simple, and the gameplay itself is not super complex, I really enjoyed all the little details of the environment and the way the game makes you actually adjust to your size unless you want to destroy more than a few things. It would have been nice to have an animated character (the ominously sliding shadow was extremely amusing), the fact that the lights can be turned on and off and that actually matters in the last stage made up for it. I'd love to see something like this expanded upon with more scenes, maybe public spaces where avoiding bump-based destruction would be more of a concern?
  • I really found myself liking this one. While it may be "minimalist" in terms of gameplay and direct narrative, it tells a fun story if you can read between the lines. If possible, I'd love for this to get some polish and more content. If not, I'd love to see other games similar to this.

Like the concept of the FP view in combination of making you avoid destroying the house (although i was never able to do any kind of damage to furniture).

My main irk with the game is that is kinda eerie? I understand the graphics not being fully finished is just a consecuence of the nature of a game jam. But the way you can see the casted shadow on the model just being dragged around does give it an unnatural aura, which is a shame as that is the only way you can kinda see the whole progress of the pregnancy since the first person view doesn't allow you to see much. The radio was the only thing that i found in the house that helped to make the experience less eerie.
The last month was actually specially eerie because of the darkness that even with the switches on, was overall always present in some way. With radio being unreachable without pushing boxes, it felt like i was being setted into a jumpscare.
Thankfully i was just being a little bit paranoid. I blame my experiences with games. The fact that it gives you a warning before downloading doesn't help either lol

I would try this but the warning is scary.

Note: After seeing the devs message; it was probably flagged for no reason.

Thoughts n Feedback;

- Animations NEED to be polished. The woman (unnamed) floats about instead of walking which is off-putting. Would love to also see baby kicking about and jiggle physics or just like physics in general for tummy.

- 3D model look not bad; I wish there was more to do during each month and more to experience.

- The last month with the dark section really suck, i get the premises behind; middle of the night etc but the lights don't really do much so at least make it brighter or add more switches that actually illuminate the area.

Solid 5.5/10 - Felt rushed imo, has so much promise to it. Needs to be touched up and it would be great.

I don't know what the person who said "Quarantine" was on about. I just double checked and the game page seems fine, no one else who commented had any problems.

When I tried to download it; I immediately got that quarantine warning.

I'm sorry to hear that. I managed to get the same warning by trying to download while not logged in. Given I've barely used this account between last year's jam and this one's, Itchio's systems might have flagged it as "suspicious". I have already opened a ticket with support to get this fixed, and will update here if I get a response.

Thank you for giving it a try despite the issues! I can also answer some of your points:

-I decided to not add animations early due to issues with the model and the fact that they aren't very noticeable from a first person perspective. I'd also love to add other details like jiggle, but they are difficult things to implement in 3D and I don't have enough knowledge right now for them, maybe in a future project.

-I'm glad people are positive about wanting more to play, although due to how simple the backend code is it would probably just be more reading and simple "grab item here" chores. Also time, you never have enough of that in a jam.

-Someone else also brought up the same issue, seems I went a bit too dark for the final month. I'll consider doing a 1.1 with less darkness/stronger lights.
And thanks again for the feedback, it means a lot :)

This is a very short game with limited content, but experiencing it from the first-person perspective of a pregnant woman is quite interesting. It feels especially unique toward the end when the baby bump gets really big. However, the lighting in the final section is a bit too dark—even with the lights on, the visibility is still pretty poor.
