- The Big Crunch is so cool, I think some of the speed for those moves for both Felix and Paw Paw are a bit too quick that it's a bit hard to understand what's happening on a first view. I think everything else is looking really good though and I can't wait to see what comes in the future, even if it's just polishing up these two characters.
- I was very very impressed by this game's production values and character models considering that you had only 1 month. It seems pretty deep after messing around with it for ~30 minutes, like I am only scratching the surface. I did have a bit of a hard time grasping some of the mechanics, so maybe a bit of additional UI nudging or tutorial content might help for future updates. Really good job overall.
- All around solid traditional fighter, I think the fidelity of the assets is being hurt by the animation based restrictions going for lower fidelity models will allow not as intense animations to sell better in the future, also hit sounds would have been helpful too as hits fall a bit flat without them, cool mechanics though
- Great character designs, especially the portrait art. A lot of nice features - camera cuts in the throws for example. Nice presentation. Font was a little difficult to read at times but still a fun game and promising start.
- Great game, Felix's mechanics were deep and fun to interact with, and his design was solid. Pawpaw felt less finished than Felix, but the ideas in her kit were definitely things that could be improved upon with more time. With some extra time for another visual pass, this could definitely be expanded into a commercial game!
- Stage art and 3D models are top notch. The character designs are very cool. Animations are a little too stiff, but serviceable. it's a shame that the sound effects are drowned by the music, for a long time I thought that the game had no sound effects in battle because of it. Paw Paw my beloved.
- Jump cancels on hit allow for a lot of easy rejump infinites.

Love the genesis mode and what it does for the characters! This might be a really low level observation but this game--mechanically and aesthetically--feels very UNI coded. Doing the special cancel stuff with Felix felt fantastic, though I didn't quite understand what the star system did for him. Paw-Paw felt far worse to me, mostly because whiffed detonation seemed to allow pretty easy infinites (Which, fine! It's an alpha for a game jam, haha, it's fine) and without it I kind of didn't feel like she had as much going on. Still, absolutely living for the art, environment, and ideas. Great job!! I hope you keep up with this!
Hello! Thanks for the comment, I forwarded it to the team and they enjoyed it!
Felix’s stars are fairly interactive: you gain them when you armor through an opponent’s attacks! Alternatively, 214V gives you one. The stars stay between rounds and unlock new moves!
Paw-Paw had less testing time unfortunately, we hope to make her feel better in the next versions! Making a vortex character was probably pretty ambitious haha, personally I enjoy her rekka cancels since you can do 236L > 236M > 236H and skip inbetween to keep the opponent on their toes, and 236V allows a combo pickup without bomb!
