- Interesting start. The UI is a bit confusing and should probably be isoltated to controller / keyboard only. Being able to pick all the different stats before a match was interesting. CPU felt a bit broken but overall an interesting start. Kudos for having online and a combo contest mode.
- A gem that imho laid on the down low. Love the concept of trading lives for perks. It's definitely one of the best games on this jam in terms of originality of concept. A little chaotic to setup, but definitely worh it once it clicks. Not having the character auto-turn, though, makes it a little closer to a vs beat 'em up than a classical fighter, but I guess for an experimental game like this it's par for the course.
- There were aspects to this I found really impressive. Very ambitious to have rollback, and the bidding system was super interesting, although i wonder if some buffs are worth an entire health bar. The actual fighting could maybe use a little work in my opinion. Attacks don't seem to have hitstop, and move sets feel a little limited. I don't love how blocking works either, parry has a huge amount of recovery. With a little polishing I think this could be great game, and it's already quite fun in its current state.
- As far as adherence to the theme goes, this is nearly as "all or nothing" as you can really get. The concept of this game is really cool and the way the match flow is designed is clever, allowing players to modify where they attribute their "lives" without it being awkward or slowing down the match too much. I think the game feel could benefit a lot from more hitstop on certain attacks, and I also wasn't able to get the online to work so I resorted to Parsec'ing the game with a friend, but it was fun!
- Such a dope premise that embraces the theme. Controls are a little loose and features are barebones. But the whole loop is there and its fun as heck.
- I had initially had some issues understanding how this game worked with giving up lives and how each upgrade works with the others, but this is extremely fun and I don't know if I'd want to see either more characters or more upgrade choices more. I hope to see more of this game.
- This game was a bit too difficult to understand in my opinion how to spend the 9 lives felt very lost on me and the combat as a result felt sort of unintuitive. cool concept though

The 9 lives system is very interesting and unique! I love the simplified controls and movesets, paired with the ability to customize different aspects of it with the lives. I watched all of the current tip videos and it seems there a lot of explore! I also think the community features is very interesting concept. I don't know how it'll pan how or how it's considered for the jam, but it's very forward thinking and seems cool for those who want to engage with the game more. I love the art direction and character designs. I've always been a fan of more sketch-like styles with rougher lines and bleeding colors. As a more traditional fighting game player the combat takes a little getting used to, but the pace and game-feel are pretty enjoyable. I'm a labber at heart so I wish there were more options in training mode, and I wish I could see the damage dealt (unless I'm missing something). After playing some matches, the combat might be a bit too simplified for me personally, though of course I haven't spent enough to time to dig that deep. Overall a very interesting concept/system and pretty good execution! I'm very curious to see how this game develops considering yall making a steam version!
Thank you so much for taking the time to write this. Yes I'm definitely looking to expand upon this idea and agree the 9 lives system is a unique take, I tried to nail the all or nothing theme by having customizable loadouts, essentially turning any player into a boss fight character. Please feel free to join our discord, I would love to play some matches online sometime!
