Judge feedback

Judge feedback is anonymous and shown in a random order.

  • Very cool character designs, and the core concept of the game is interesting, though the platforming and general game feel could use some work. With some tweaks, this could be really solid, good work!
  • Phenomenal Art/Sprite Work, the game feel was a bit lacking air maneuverability was a bit too low making jump feel bad.
  • Love the character design and the whimsy feeling of the game. Controls felt nice albeit a little on the tighter side. Some more feedback on hits could have helped, but definitely a promising start.
  • Such a snappy and fast paced game. feels great just moving around. Characters are fantastic, both in moveset and core visual design. Feature set leaves something to be desired. online is great, but its a clunky interface and no CPU/training mode makes messing around alone difficult.
  • I think there is some interesting stuff here but it could use a bit more polish. It seems like there is online play which is great! The character designs are neat and the animations are off to a good start even though they are placeholder quality. I think the spell system and tug of war mechanics have some potential although the characters' base movesets feel a little limited without the spells. Hit detection feels a little off in places and text and UI elements wind up out of place at my monitor's resolution.
  • Very solid base, love the shared tug-of-war lifebar

Wonderful key art, and the animations that are implemented look/feel great. The feel of the character controller is very solid, if not a little unwieldy. The only huge issue I have with the movement is that platforms are treated a ceiling, and so are very limited for both movement and combos.  The game also lacks a training mode so it's harder to find cool stuff. I will say the systems intrigue me, but I'll have to play more / with friends to see how they pan out without a training mode/CPU. It's clear that this game was limited by time, but there's a lot good stuff here and it'll cool to see where it goes if yall keep working on it.

Thank you for playing! Yes the ceiling thing was a huge roadblock for me technically, syncing that state across the network turned out to not be as simple as I'd hoped.

Thanks for the feedback :)
