  • A fun little mining game with a pregnancy tie in. Pregnancy content wise there was actually quite little outside of the characters progression a you collected children in the program. Conceptually wise though was quite clever that that regard. Gameplay was simple as you mine though the files to look for resources and children to help you upgrade. Did encounter a bug when using an upgrade which was frustraiting to have to start all over again. Creativity wise I like the concept of pregnancy from the perspective of data, clever. Jam theme wise we see the progression of both the characters pregnancy and the progress of getting the file uploaded as the goal. Fun game!
  • A fun if slightly buggy game with a strong identity and gameplay loop. I had a lot of fun with this one, despite having to restart after a solid 30 or so minutes due to the second inventory upgrade crashing the game and it not saving at all. That was rather unfun, but everything else felt great! Giving the babies a glowing aura and having them hidden in fun, sometimes unexpected spots really made them stand out against the two ore types. The theming on this was also wonderful, really reminded me of your submission from the previous jam with the same characters too. Glad to see more and I hope it will continue the same way.
  • This was a very clever idea that is hampered by the lack of a save option. The gameplay was simple to understand and I had a lot of fun playing it... up until the game crashed on me about an hour in. To give praise where it's due, the character art was spectacular and the very clever take on the theme of "progression" was wonderful to see. This is a game I'll be coming back to.

Short but fun game with basic but satisfying mechanic: dig, search, retrieve, recharge, upgrade, repeat! A few bugs that gets under skin but that can be fixed and didn't change my final thoughts (maybe I am just used to playing games with far more bugs?.. makes me wonder...). Either way, short game for half an hour of gameplay with (as far as I can see) indirect continuation of P-Runner story (I loved that game). Nice to spend some time and relax while enjoy theme of the jam.

While I played other games of the jam, its first and probably only one I am gonna comment on for... my own reasons :P

While I haven't played all of the games of the jam, this is probably tied for my favorite gameplay out of all the ones I have. Even when avoiding the crash-prone second inventory expansion, the progression of the upgrades is paced really well, and being able to just cruise through any leftover early blocks after getting the last upgrades feels very satisfying. The character art is really cute, if spread a little thin, (more dialogue would have gone a long way) and I'm always a sucker for a TRON-esque premise. It did take me probably half-a-dozen attempts to get to the end without crashing, though, and that was despite already knowing about the bug with the the second inventory upgrade. That being said, as annoying as the crashes were, ironically, my biggest complaint would actually be the size of the window. Some of the upgrade text was hard to read because it was so small, and it would have been nice to get a closer look at the pretty pictures. ;p One other nitpick is that in the later stages of the game, it would be nice to have some kind of level-design-signposting to help remind the player where the home base is - or maybe just a toggleable arrow? It was never a problem enough to result in fully running out of energy, but once I fully cleared out some areas, there was a minor bit of occasional disorientation. Also, it kinda felt like maybe the pregnancy should progress according to the number of child processes you were currently holding, instead of just your overall progress? All that being said, I'm a big fan of this entry, and while I'd be thrilled if it were to get a post-jam patch, it's still a pretty damn good time as is.

Thanks for the detailed review! It's good to hear the the upgrade progression is paced well since I didn't have time to test. I did want more dialogue during the upgrades, but that also fell victim to running out of time. What size monitor do you have? I have a 2560x1440 monitor, and the text looked okay to me, and I wasn't sure how it would look on other sized monitors. I suppose a home arrow would be useful, I never considered what the map would look like when it was fully cleared out. I did think about having the belly size change based on how many children you're carrying, but 1. I wasn't sure if players might miss out on the last size by just getting 2-3 at a time, and 2. I wanted her boobs and butt to get bigger, and I thought it would look a little strange if those were growing and shrinking too. I'm glad you enjoyed the game! Hopefully this time I can do a post-jam patch (I will at least fix the crashing), since the main thing I wanted to add was more cutscene/dialogue stuff.

I played on my laptop which, according to my settings menu, is 3840 x 2160. Like, I can definitely still read all the text, it's just right on the edge of being too small. If there was maybe a option to double the window size, or fullscreen, that would be really cool, (especially for being able to appreciate the lovely pictures better) but I do understand that I am not a game dev, and that might be significantly easier said than done. Also, especially with that explanation, I can totally respect the choice you made regarding how the preg-ression was implemented. (Also, sorry I wasn't able to provide any crash logs - I didn't think about it until I was most of the way through my successful run.) I'm really looking forward to whatever you do next, whether it's a post-jam patch, or something new!

Interesting premise; the bug where once you get everything then get to the second inventory upgrade; you get the nasty bug where it crashes and gives you an error.  I will genuinely honest and say the fact the dev didn't test up to that point and patch before they published is wild though considering the rush to submit I also don't blame them.

Solid 7.5/10 - Has a lot of promise to it; the sprites are lovely; I wish there was more dialogue in between upgrades and through the endeavor with the upgrades  that we learn a bit more about the area she is in and how she gets pregnant through it.

Aside from the lack of dialogue between characters, it was a satisfying game.

I did plan on having dialogue during each "level up", and as a whole I did want to have more characters, but I just ran out of time to add anything other than the beginning and end cutscenes

I can't leave a review for the game due to a bug that causes a crash.
The game crashes for me the moment I purchase the second inventory upgrade.

Though a quick summary:
You go around gathering resources to grow the MC. The premise is a bit of a grind and starts to become tedious. The art for the characters is really good, however.

def a personal fav of mine, only a few  bugs i noticed with the second inventory upgrade and sometimes not being able a certain direction (or not at all at one point) when breaking the trash but overall a pretty enjoyable game

I had a lot of fun digging around for this one. Boss has her priorities straight, Good game. Only one little nasty bug in the jam version with the second inventory upgrade.

I would like to clarify for people who read the previous comment: The bug is that the game crashes when you buy it.
