Man that track was great, so immersive and emotional. It perfectly carries your story, and the shift to a darker tone gave me goosebumps, it's so so good. 

I just wish there was a bit more of that lyre motif, that it was developed more upon instead of being repeated as-is throughout the entire track. That makes it redundant, especially in the end,  which contradicts a story that takes a radical turn like yours in my opinion.

Btw could you tell me what samples or library you used for your percussion ?

5/5 everywhere, except for Melody impact that I give 4/5 

I really like the overall mood of the track, it feels very thoughtfully written and develops naturally. The chord changes are really nice and work really well in the track. The mood change around 2:13 into something darker is also great. This is one of my favourite tracks from the jam, really beautiful with a melancholic and mysterious feel :) 

Yo James, there's a mid section in this I just absolutely adore when the handrums and shakers come in, it feels so professionally done and just well constructed. The melody is also super clear throughout the developed composition too which is great. Can definitely hear this in a game like Hollow Knight or something.

The melody is also nice, maybe the laid back feel of the arrangement is what made the melody feel less memorable to some people but for me it was really nice, but I do have a bit of a personal bias towards folky sounding stuff 😅

I'd wager a guess if this had been the same material and melodies but with a more energetic arrangement, people would've thought it was more memorable just because of the more energetic feel 😄

The presentation/production quality was really great with the project page info and the excellent melody analysis video, will probably have to remember to do a similar thing if there is ever a Melody Jam #2

My brain isn't working properly-- that said, I can still tell this is an amazing composition you've made! I will say the Melody, while very catchy, is somehow also not very memorable to me, maybe I'm just tired, but what hooked me in the song was more so that catchy, groovy 4/4 rhythm-- which sounded hella slick if I might add. The song progresses smoothly, has a lot of variation without conflicting itself at all, and the overall mixing on top of that is quite pleasant. very well done!!!!

Amazing work, I like it a lot, the track sounds as a soundtrack ready to use in a game. I noticed various melodies, and I think they are quite clear and impactful, and I like how you switch between them, how you develop them and add variations. Loved it overall!

This is far from a bad submission, I actually like it quite a lot, especially the details in the project page. 

But I do agree with Kale, if your goal was to have a strong focused melody then there could have been a little more spotlight placed on what you had and space for it to shine a bit more.
