I love that the lyrics are in Icelandic, and their meaning is beautiful. The track blends different styles in an interesting way, with a tense, slightly unsettling mood. The vocals are impressive and contribute to a fully immersive experience :)

This was such a refreshing listen among the tracks I've listened to in the jam. Was not expecting the style haha. although this was a melody jam, I actually felt that the rhythm in this piece was the standout part. Huge vibes in the roughly 2 minutes in section. Awesome stuff

Mongolian death metal ? The track was so cool, love the melody played by the guitar. The growl vocals work so well. I really like that the development takes its time and that there's a constant thump reminding the forge. Easily one of the better tracks of the jam, especially for an ear that's used to metal. 

5/5 everywhere. Especially in melody impact, the long buildup makes it so memorable because it's the reward we were looking for.
 

This is a pretty massive project, with at least 3 core sections I can identify! Loving the melody and the choice to put it on electric guitars so much. My problem: I waited 3 whole minutes to receive any inkling of it. I wish the final conclusion was at least somewhat foreshadowed, because I was waiting on any semblance of 'main melody' the whole time. I think 'cohesion' would be a good way to sum up what I want to say - the 3 sections are very cool but don't feel that closely related. As for the sections: I found the first one very overwhelming in terms of elements (rhythmic composition, plethora of instruments and sounds) and difficult to grasp the structure of. I love the third section's melody, but the loose drums/percussion feel a bit strange to me.

Aside from those opinions - the vocals are so cool!! A lot of awesome sounds and ideas, and the eventual melody is composed, performed, and mixed like perfection. I applaud you firmly for your extremely high effort submission!

Somehow the YACK at the end of the growl at 04:12 cracked me up 😂

Melodically and just the overall vibe reminded me a bit of the mongolian band Hanggai, I'm not the biggest fan on growled vocals but in this context they worked great all though with how heavy and powerful the growling sound was it kinda made the cleaner feel a bit weak? not meaning the singing/delivery but just the mix on the clean's felt a lot less powerful to me.

I think this is the first submission I've heard from Grunt without any tremolo guitar parts that I've kinda come to expect as their trademark/signature element in tracks 😄

I guess this could be called a souls like song since it features the Moonlight Sword in the story 😉

Took me to the time of Vikings! Taglharpe is one of my favorite instruments. Its adds such a grit to songs. I needed some mead and a fire. The ending definitely felt more modern but still had the feeling you added in the beginning. Great chanting! Have no idea what you're saying but it was great. 

Veeery cool work, you inspired me to use voice more next time! Love the strings and the rhythm is great, amazing atmosphere. The melody starting on the 3rd minute elevates the whole track, I enjoyed listening to your track a lot!

Love this style! got NO clue what the words are, but it doesn't matter cause' it still slaps, that is, of course, unless the description is also just the lyrics, which would make sense if it is, but I am unsure. Really like the percussion on this, and those deep chanting vocals are just so sick. Einel had a great singing part as always, and I like the breather you get towards the end from all the vocals to just immerse yourself in the scene that much further. Well done, you two! bravo, bravo! :D

I'd love more details in general, but you guys did a fantastic job. I like that it also has a little bit of a more old-school metal sound later into it. That's a great touch.
