If you spam clicks at the start, it seems to freeze up without ever delivering the first line of dialogue.

The game  never really justifies how identifying the culprit will help them defuse the bomb. It also feels weird that we never get a motive for the culprit, unless that was hidden behind a question that doesn't need to be asked to accuse anyone.

Great entry! Having the questions as a resource to manage is simple but fun mechanic. Didn't get it on the first try,  but I will have another crack at it. I recognise it's probably a style choice, but having different outfits for the characters would make it easier for me to keep track of who's who! They're not all guilty yet, so they don't have to be in prison uniforms, haha.

Thank you! Glad you liked it. That's a good point of making them easier to tell apart in the line up

This was fun!

I managed to get it on my 4th try and it was fun figuring out what questions led to different paths and who to question in what order. I definitely felt the pressure on this one with the limited number of questions; it was pretty cool and fit the theme well!

Good job on this one!

Congrats on finding the culprit! I'm glad you found it fun!

Love the vibes! The graphics and sounds effects go really well together and the short intro sets the scene in a fun way. The mystery is short and engaging, but really sells the need to be efficient with your questions.

Thank you, glad you liked it 😊

We (Aiya, Zero) played this on call! Comments:

Aiya: Very cute! The simplistic art adds to the charm I feel. It must've been hard coming up with questions that apply equally to everyone.

Zero: I also thought the art was really fun! I also liked the little voices that play for the characters. Unfortunately after three playthroughs we still got stuck and couldn't figure out how to unlock more questions, but I had a fun time with what we played!

Thanks for the comment! I'm glad you guys enjoyed it!

I caught the crook! That was a good game with a simple but effective mechanic. I also loved the art style, the guy on the far right looks like someone I know, lol. I played this together with my friend and it was good fun to do together :)

Yay congrats! Glad you enjoyed it!

This game got me completely hooked! I love the concept, it fits the theme perfectly and is super addictive. I still haven’t figured out who the culprit is, but I’m not giving up. I’m really invested now and I need to know what happened 😄

Thank you! I'm glad it's so captivating. Good luck for finding the culprit!

I think the art style is very fun and it is a really refreshing take on the Jams Theme. I did not find the criminal sadly, but I am curious enough to try again :)
I like it :)

the game no working

Hi. Would you be able to let me know what is not working for you. I have just tested it again briefly myself and it seems to be working for me so I'm unsure what exactly you are referring to. Thanks!

I was able to play through it once and I enjoyed it. The way new questions open up as you go is cool.

I didn't get to pick the culprit because I ran out of time (so the jam topic is perfectly implemented! :) ). Now I'm trying to play again because I want to find out but, for some reason, the game seems stuck in the opening screen. I'll give it another try later.

Developer

Thank you I glad you enjoyed it! Which screen did it get stuck on exactly? Was it the title screen where you can press play? I hope you were able to get it working again

I think it had something to do with my cache not cleaning up properly, but I am not sure. All I know is I was able to try again after resetting the computer.

Anyway, I think the mystery is nicely built and I enjoyed the gameplay. The game looks relatively simple but there is more to it than meets the eye. I think you really managed to develop a mystery atmosphere that suits the topic of the jam well. This is a game you play wanting to get to the ending---and that's a good thing!

I felt that perhaps the 20-question limit is a bit too tight. I have the impression that you need to play the game several times until you work out the right combination of questions.  Maybe I missed something crucial, though.

Thank you for the kind words! I wish I could reproduce the issue to try and figure out what's going on but unfortunately it's all working fine for me. And I appreciate the feedback on the question limit, that was certainly something I was weighing up in development
