The rules state that the pictures should be uploaded with a resolution of 160x144, therefore the uploaded pictures should include a frame.
But which frames may be used? The frames from the different variations of the GB Camera ROM? Or would that be a copyright infringement because that's an asset from Nintendo that you can't include in the ROM for the jam? Example:
If these frames are allowed, modifying them probably isn't? I sometimes like to invert the colors of original frames :P
I've also created a custom frame I like to use sometimes. But applying the frame is a post capture alteration and therefore not allowed? (I'm using the GBCamera Manager android app to connect my phone to my GBxCart and dump the pictures. The app allows me apply any frame I like and to export the image.) Example:
Others have submitted their images with a blank black frame. Maybe I'll also do this, just to be safe ^^
