I sold them to afford food and get the bug repellant, did I lock myself out of the quest? I couldn't find any more in the mine and elise doesn't have the ones I sold them.

Thanks, I guess I'll just deal with the consequences of my actions like a real man and go do some other quest then... or something like that. 

I remember doing this, but you just have to go back to the cave... and have to get more bug repellent.
