Nice art on the game and music was good for it, I wish there was some sounds like being hit to help it out. The Shrinking was good in the game and worked well for dodging. Felt character controls was too fast so was hard to avoid bullets at times.
I think game would feel much better with some sound effects but still was decent game overall so nice work on it.
Liked the animations and the overall style :) Epic! For me, UI-wise the biggest problem was lack of bullets colliding (visuals and sound), but once I got accustomed, it stopped being annoying.
On the other hand, missing hit sound or the enemy position hint (Touhou-style) forces you to unshrink to check where the enemy is, so it makes sense.
The enemy is engaging, has lots of patterns too, I had my share of dodging. Overall, fun!
I liked the art style and setup for this. It had really epic proportions, from the music to the tiny wizard animation with the wind flowing through the robes. It really set the mood. The shrink theme had a strong presence too. Shrinking felt deeply required to survive, which was nice. I pretty much stayed tiny most of the time and only unshrunk to confirm where the boss was. The bullet patterns were cool and challenging, but not unfair. It was also exciting to see what each boss phase would do next. Fun entry and nice from the whole team.
I really like the way the sensitivity changes when your size changes. Nicely done!
Really loved the way you utilized shrinking with the wizard! I thought it was cool to go down to a smaller scale to avoid the giant bullets.
I experienced a glitch in this in that i couldn't go backwards while i was shooting.
The concept here is amazing, i think it needs a bit more time in the oven, you move too fast as big wizard and zoom in too close as small wizard for me to feel comfortable in either form, i kinda had to just stay in small wizard form the whole time to avoid careening into bullets at top speed. The music is great tonally but doesn't loop correctly, which was noticable. The patterns were interesting and fun, though stage three required me to stay in big wizard form to see where i was going and controls to swap forms were just a bit too jarring for me to complete the phase.
If this piece got sanded down i would be ecstatic to play it again c:
Thank you for the feedback! The team has been talking about wishing there was more polish was well, so revisiting this idea in the future isn't out of the question!
It took me 4 tries I think.
It is a cool boss fight, I enjoyed it. The game looks nice and consistent, the music is catchy, the big difference in scale between the two modes is great and the ridiculously sensitive movemement controls when big is a nice and funny touch. The game controls well (when tiny of course), it offers some cool bullet patterns to dodge and the size of the two life bars is appropriate, the difficulty was perfect for me for the jam.
Some sound feedback when hitting and getting hit would increase the feel and sturdiness.
Thanks for sharing!
