one of the most unique and creative ideas in the jam. the game was very fun. the music was well made. and the blob sound effect was sooo funny lmao. great job :D
Best soundfx in the entire jam haha. Really cute assets too. Nicely done!
Blob blob blob - loved all the sounds! Unpopular opinion around, but I actually enjoyed the inertia based movement and bounce off the walls.
Cute game concept, right on theme. Well done!
The mehanics are extremely unique! reminds me of itch io but its a bullet hell, im not very good at the game though. I think one thing I really liked is the art style, its so simple but it gives so much to the game. I also was pretty amused by the "yop" sound effect when you consume other blobs hahahha
It's smol! I beat the game and the 3 first bonus levels on default difficulty.
It was fun! While I'm not the biggest fan out there of this kind of inertia (rather than the cursor being exactly your character) I got quickly used to the controls, thought that the rebound on the edges of the screen was cool, the overall game fits the theme very well and it's also quite consistent (including the inertia then), I really like the pronounced sound effects starting with the one when you're eating an enemy. I love the eyes of a blob when it dies. The difficulty was also perfect for me for the jam so I enjoyed it.
Thanks for sharing!
I had fun playing your game although I was very bad at it. It was very funny to see the writing “easy mode?” after loosing a couple of times. The theme is perfectly matched. I loved the sound during the eating process. The art is very simple but effective.
Cool concept, i dunno if i've ever seen a shmup about getting ontop of the spawners before, but it felt very hard to approach any of them, and as i got smaller the edges of being on top of an enemy didn't count, i had to ge tmyself directly on the center, meaning i can't be dodging other shots, which sort of leads me to the alternate strategy of not attacking anythign and just running away until they all kill themselves trying to get me. I think just a bit more readability and this is a top notch game all on it's own, dead enemies making more of an impact, and an easier way to tell when i'm successfully eating something and that something has finished being eaten c:
Great use of the theme. The enemy variety is good, but I think it could be improved with more visual distinction between enemies, since right now it's only the color. Other than that, no complaints!
If you could check out my entry as well, that would be awesome :)
Love the idea, the theme was well used i think, the sound design is really cool, even though the music replay every time I died is a direct hit into my fragile heart and ego... Was really hard but still awesome! Controls need to be mastered, only great player will be able to control them... (I'm making a rating that would be shown on the trailer you know, with "". Anyway, I'll ask great players to play this because i need to know what is after the first real room of the game T0T )
Interesting idea, controls felt weird
Good entry. The concept is well defined and simple to understand.
My only concern is the controls inertia. It was a bit too much for me.
Still had a good time though
Very much on theme, the game is alright though I felt like the player character was too slippery for my liking as I would sometimes overshoot where I was aiming to move toward and run straight into a bullet, also having the player character controlled by mouse would have been alright if it weren't for the fact that the player's slippery nature combined with their acceleration seemingly based on how far the mouse is from them made navigating bullets by the edges of the screen not a fun experience. Was still enjoyable though so congrats on the submission!
