Fun simple game, it was good to play and, Easy to get hang of playing but hard to win. Bullets patterns was very nice and worked well, overall had good fun playing

Really cool game. The gameplay is very balanced and smooth. Shootings are great. The soundtrack is very nice to hear. I enjoyed playing it!

Really really good wave design. Love the minimalistic assets/vibe. Bullet patterns are beautiful! Strong entry and a great game!

Thanks so much for the kind words! The flow of the waves was the most fun thing to build and tune, and it was at that moment where it felt like I realized why shmup dev is so fun and that I want to keep making more.

Really cool wave based shooter.

The Hit upgrade system when you layer another bar on top of yours when collecting chips is pretty interesting, my only gripe with this is that, while i get the idea of risk / reward you probably wanted to have with this, here i found it nearly impossible to go and collect them cause you have so little time in between enemy spawns and you have to move so close to them that you’re most likely gonna grab a bullet before you reach any chip :/

Other than that the concept itself is nice and i like the cute minimalist spritework ^^

Thanks for the feedback! Makes a lot of sense. I found when playing it that bombing and then rushing in while your bomb circle expands is one strategy to be able to refill the bomb meter and deal more damage. If you stop shooting, your chip pull increases (that’s the yellow circle).

Oh sorry i didn’t notice there was pull when i stop shooting, my bad :(

Yes dude

Won with 2:48.05

Really engaging experience. initially i found it kind of annoying that you had to go up close to get the chips because the blue bullets were so lightning fast you can't really get close to pick up the chips, and in most of this kind of game the chips would fall towards you naturally, but then a few attempts in I settled into a strategy of realizing that manual bomb is actually a total misplay.

playing for time you definitely need to bomb as often as possible and learn the timings and patterns of the enemies, especially the ones who will fire blue bullets, I think that's good for a scoring game, but my survival strategy ended up being, treat the extra life as an actual extra life, leave all the chips at the end of the screen so as soon as you get hit you can run behind the shockwave while not holding fire, to go and grab some of the chips

It's almost kind of like dodonpachi float bomb, except it's float extend lmfao, that's a really interesting metagame

This is a cool concept and i love the idea of the bomb meter being your health, tho it feels very difficult to actually fill since i have to get so close to the enemies to get the chips, when they spawn in so quickly at the end of a wave, though i found myself falling into the gameplay pattern of never using the bomb, since i know it'll go off when i take damage anyway. Visually very interesting tho! the bomb wave is very satisfying.

This is a promising alpha! i think this will be a lot of fun with polish and backgrounds and spritework on everything c:

I won in 3:07.72, had actually been a couple of times not that far from winning before eventually engaging with the bomb mechanic (I wasn't picking the chips).

I had a lot of fun! The game controls perfectly with all the right speeds and feedbacks and engaging sound effects. The patterns are very cool and make the best use of the bullets of an enemy being cleared as soon as it is destroyed.

I thought the music was weird if it even works correctly on my rig.

Thanks for sharing!

Really cool patterns, some were very dense and satisfying to dodge, it took me a bit of time to start using bombs, but the idea of using bombs as lives is very interesting risk reward, overall it was very fun to play, and easy to pick up

very cool and fun game, nice work man :D

Really fun! I loved the pickup-to-refill-bomb mechanic. It added a nice layer of risk/reward and kept each wave feeling challenging and engaging. The bomb visuals looked really nice in this style too. Good job on the sound design as well, it felt very balanced.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the kind words! That’s exactly what I was going for with the risk/reward. Glad to hear it resonated.

Very nice game, hard as hell :) nostalgic feeling.
One thing i would suggest is not using Z X C because it get's messed up with qwertz keyborads.

Well done overall :)
