Source of Magic is a fantasy faction-sim inspired by the kind of emergent chaos found in Dwarf Fortress/RimWorld. You don’t directly control the world — factions scout, mine, build, starve, fight, and occasionally produce ridiculous stories, like an ambitious, goblin historian finding a magic sword and generating a military crisis for the entire dungeon.

There's a single player mode where you can talk to characters and also issue text commands that are free form and mapped to simulation actions by a local AI (Ollama AI is required for this mode).  There's also a simulation mode where you can have the game simulate N number of turns and then watch as the drama plays out--with complete access to the internal faction memory and the individual "brains" of every entity.  Turn events are logged for your review and there's an AI narrator to give the play by play if you so desire!
