Excellent work! One of my favorite games from the jam so far! I particularly like the mechanic where you need to start moving more slowly and carefully to not tip your giant tower of guys over. The main criticism I'd have is that the small level meant that near the end things felt extremely cramped dodging the attacks from enemies. It might be because I never quite figured out how to predict where those were going.
Nice work!
It was quickly intuitive, simple, and engaging. I liked the variety of the binas; it was fun to see the tower looking so chaotic. Good feedback for the player in SFX and in responsivity.
Glad you liked it!!! Thank youuu
Incredible! So simple and engaging, had me super motivated to win, even though I had to move on for the sake of time. The character control felt great, the swaying tower feels fun and fair, and the enemy hitboxes are quite forgiving and the ramp-up feels just right. The large variety of lil binas and the collection screen at the end were extra special. Loved the sfx too, great job!
Here's a playtest
thanks for playing and for the feedback! and for taking the time to provide a little playtest!
Really interesting concept and overall very fun & cute. It felt very good to control the characters and was very intuitive for me, and the difficulty progression ramp up felt just right. "Restarting" back from the bottom didn't feel like a big burden or that troublesome because the game feel and aesthetics of the game let you ease into it almost like a trance and relax a bit. Nicely done!
i'm really happy you liked it!!
Very cute little arcade game! super polished and well made
thank youuuu !!!
Very easy to pick this up. I loved how simple but effective the visual signage is for what to do.
Really great game. I understand the pixel art aesthetic, but I do wish the little guys (Binas?) were more detailed
Delightful! I absolutely love the sfx, if I could give you 10 stars for audio, I would! It's super intuitive and simple, but fun to play, and actually gets quite challenging towards the end. I really appreciate the attention to detail, and being able to collect all the little guys is a really nice touch. Great job!
5^7/5^7 Binaaaaaaa!
Cute art style, lots of fun to play, and I really like how you update the main screen after each run to show all the peeps you've "unlocked". Very cool game :-)
thank youuu!! Binaaaaa
Very juicy!! Whimsical sfx
What game engine did you use for this?
thank you thank you! It is made in GameMaker Studio 2
one of my faves this jam. There is a proper game there with learning and difficulty a curve, although its very steep! I felt really concerned when i started to loose some of my rescued folk, and their bodies started piling up on the ground. At first i thought it was a fire rescue operation, but then the giant caterpillar monsters made me think its an alien invasion and i am trying to help people (and cats) escape? sounds and graphics are super cute
thank you a lot for playing! it means a lot you enjoyed it! did you manage to beat it?
Very juicy, really cute, great sound design, and you get to collect the little guys!! The feedback was really well done, made learning how to play really quick and simple. Awesome job :)
I appreciate your kind words! Thank youu! Binaaaa
This game turned into a bullet hell very quickly and unexpectedly lol but it was fun. Really like all the cute little references in the sprites and the SFX are funny
thank you for playing!!
I really got a kick out of this one, it was so funny (the noises lmao) and REALLY fun... I played several runs and only am stopping because I have to go to bed hahaha. Great work!!!
Thank you for your comment! And i'm especially happy you appreciate the sfx - we are really proud how these turned out!
Well done, very cool little game! Very intuitive and juicy too.
Thank you!!!
Fun fact: not having developed the game for HTML5, when I firstly tried to run it on the web the freeze frames I ‘ve implemented caused errors; and with 2 hours until the deadline I was seriously tempted to just remove them. But I am glad I persisted on fixing them, they do affect the “feeling” quite a lot… yapping ends here :)
The voices were very funny, still chuckling to myself.
Hahaha I’m happy u like it. All the voices are recordings of my brother, he did the voice over. I can’t quite describe u how funny the recording process was.
Love the silly character designs and simple gameplay. Nice job!
thank youuu... bina!
Pure fun game. The simplicity of the interactions works so well and is very satisfactory to stack the little dudes. It's also really nice to see the different characters we have unlocked as we progress. Congrats!
Thank you for playing! I'm happy u like it. Yeah, our artist did a great job with the spritework!... BINA!
super cool game!
