Absolutely beautiful artwork and an incredibly creative take on the theme, great work team!! The graph in the bottom is such a lovely bit of UI feels very sci-fi futuristic and the sin wave (or whatever you call it) is mesmerizing to watch (while also serving  a key game play purpose!). The backgrounds are gorgeous and I liked how there was a distinct "personality" for each, it contrasted well with the main character remaining the same throughout time.  I think there could be a bit smoother transition between the two states as the current combination of jerky camera and instant switch between backgrounds is more than a bit disorientating. Made using surfaces to fade out from one to the next would help with the overall game feel and also make the platforming a little less punishingly difficult. The art would have been 5/5 for me, but since it is grouped with sound (and there isn't any) I had to knock you down a couple points. That being said, I really enjoyed your game, and the art and core mechanic are excellent. Awesome take on the theme, and keep up the great work!!

I liked the design of the chrono-flux monitor! The camera shake was a bit nauseating D:

I love the vibes of the game, and the concept is pretty unique! I think the camera sway is a bit fast, which feels a bit weird after playing for a while. And, it would be a bit easier if the switching speed was a bit slower, I'm not a platformer player but it felt a bit difficult to me.

Really nice visuals and game mechanics! I wish there was music or some beat to follow so i am aware when will the switching happen, but its fire 馃敟

The Time Tides switching gets really hectic in a good way, which made the platforming pretty addictive. I鈥檇 love gamepad support for this.

The concept is a lot to unpack but the game feels too fast so you just cant get into it to really progress, sitting here 20 minute and losing a lot of progress over a small thing is annoying. This game could be a bit slower to help players focus and get used to the timing. I guess the lack of sound is kinda sad but eh we cant do much right? With some polish and playtesting to get a good balance in difficulty this game could be amazing. Great Job so far!

Wow this was a hella creative concept on of my fav games of the jam so far time tides is sick. I like the little monitor that shows the tides and the levels are doable but like the timing is tight that takes some level design. And omgg the art reminded me of journey if you ever played or seen that game. Thank you for this one!

Fun game. I didn't make it far. Initial difficulty is pretty steep. Nice visuals.

Thanks for giving it a go!

Yay, I stabilized the temporal tide ! It just took 20 minutes of falling over and over. It was really fun ! Nice concept too.

The camera shake effect is too much tho i think, my head kinda hurts.

Developer

Yay, nice job beating the game and thanks for trying it! I definitely will tone down the screen shake more after the jam it was a bit much and didn't get to flesh out that mechanic all the way

I'm stuck, but the game is really fun!

Thanks for giving it a go! There are definitely some tricky wall jumping to do but you got this!!

Very fun game, but I don't see the connection with the tides.

Developer

Hello! Thank you for trying out the game! I was inspired by the book Hyperion which had time tides that affected time-space. Wanted to incorporate an abstract idea of tides than the literal definition.
