As others have said, the art and attention to detail here is absolutely stunning! Really enjoyed the general setting and the death screen are incredible for something you did in a week. Really well done.

Great game. Art is an  awesome standout. The robots really spiked my anxiety whenever I was spotted

Developer

Thanx for the feedback! :D

The art for the death screens is awesome, which works out well because I ended up seeing those a lot.

Developer

Hehehe! If I follow the game's development, I'll think of new deaths to be seen.

you always make great art , some good mechanics but i found the game a bit difficult with the one hit kill and some of the placements mixed with the controls sometimes not being spot on but overall great job for a weekend,  this game does have a ton of potential post jam and reminds me of a game in the ufo 50 collection

Developer

Thanx a lot! The idea for the game was to be a survival horror, so one-hit kills were necessary to make the player fear any mistake (which is why I included so many checkpoints). I'm reviewing the controls; what specific aspect bothered you about them?

i was playing with a controller i think the issue i was having was with jumping on ladders was a bit finnicky , i tried to replay it and this is the area that has me quit the game . not quite sure how to get over this enemy keep dying trying to jump over it

Developer

Use the attack to paralyze the robot; once it's paralyzed, you can easily pass through it.

was a tough one but got through , yeah my only issues is the crouching and jumping on ladders can be a bit finnicky and did not know could pass through enemies by shooting them / was not sure how to do the boss fight at first more of player accessibility things  . really like the visuals for the death screen and the checkpoint system , wish the gun recharge was a bit faster . would be interesting fleshed out with some more abilities metroidvania style  great job on the game for few days

Developer

That's great that you managed to finish it, thank you very much for the feedback. I'm thinking of continuing the game in the Metroidvania Jam, improving abilities, but I need to balance it so the character doesn't become overpowered - the focus is still on being a kind of survival horror game.

Nice! I lost a thousand times before beating it, definitely a well balanced game. I really liked the mechanics with your weapon and the variety of elements. Superb game design!

Seriously impressive for a weekend project! Great visuals, and hopefully a project you will continue refining after the jam. If this is what you make during a weekend, I'd love to see the game after a few weeks.

Developer

Thank you very much. I was thinking of continuing the game within the Metroidvania Jam that started recently. If I have enough time, I think I can explore the idea. Do you have any suggestions for a possible expansion of the game?
