This is a nice game, i like the background, is that a shader? also the automatic restart when got hit by spike, its not punishing, nice work! 🔥
Its a sprite using the background feature from Gamemaker with the underwater effect when you select a room. If you mean the graphics looking VHS blurry, i honestly have no idea but sometimes bugs become features as some people say 😅

I don't see how it fits the theme, but the controls on the platformer feel pretty nice, and it is pretty well polished.
