Nothing I'm doing seems to have any affect, random things are being splatted half the screen away and seemingly at random

Submitted

I'm not really sure to how progress past the tutorial, and the dev console keeps appearing!

Developer

Sorry to hear that! You’ll progress to the next level every 20 seconds or so. I’m not sure what’s causing the dev console issues

Very simple but well made game, which gives me good flow state.

Cute graphics and nice Songs & SFX.

The level should end when noone left. First time it was confusing and feels unresponsive.

The box level feels unnecessary, because there is no coltrol, unless it has some learnable pattern.

Developer

Noted, thanks for the feedback!

I love the cute sounds for the pets :) The game is interesting and fun, except for the level with boxes as I do not know who is who.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Glad you liked it

I picked up on the game pretty quick, and really liked the big ol hand coming from the sky. The level where the pieces changed colors tripped me up, but provided a fun challenge. The level with the boxes was really confusing - I'm not sure how I would have known what to do, other than guessing. A couple of times I think I won? lost? and it let me continue anyways? Regardless, was a fun little game

Here's a playtest

Thanks so much for playing and for the video! Shrimpusss did a great job with our music and sfx.

Also appreciate the feedback on the cardboard box level. I wanted their feet to be visible but I left it too late unfortunately. Only showing the eyes is a good idea.

Yes, there’s not meant to be a real win / loss condition. The last stage of the game is all of your ‘points’ on display and they can’t be clicked.

I understood the controls and the idea that I'm collecting the things but I didn't really get the overall point, I suppose to get as many as possible. The level where they changed colour was decent having to go off the actual model and not their colour but unfortunately the rest of the levels were the same as the first or just random like the one where they're all boxes and you can't see them at all, not sure how i was supposed to be able to tell and ended up squishing 90% of them. There was also a level where it was just 3 of them standing there and once collected I just stared at the ground for a bit until the level changed which felt pointless. I thought the models were odd in a cute way like little critters, both fun to collect and squish lol and the music and sfx were decent!

Didn’t understand the controls at all, then when I reloaded the game I realized there’s a single white pixel to the bottom-left of the hand which is actually the click target, rather than the hand itself :)

Developer

Thanks for playing! Yep the click area is halfway between the hand and the shadow, where the white pixel is

Oh after watching CheeseOnCheese’s stream I realize now that this is only happening on my system, apparently because I have my desktop scaling set to 125%. Because of this the white pixel ends up offset to the bottom and to the left. I also noticed now that the offset increases if I move the hand further up or to the right. Here’s a screenshot to show what I mean:

I didn’t have this issue with other mouse-based Unity games (e.g. “button / box”), so I’m guessing this is something you can fix/avoid in your code somehow (not familiar with Unity myself unfortunately).

Developer

Sorry to hear that! If you set scaling to 100% it should work normally. It’s not a custom cursor so it doesn’t follow the mouse perfectly. There’s some maths keeping it more or less aligned, so I think that’s what’s happened

I didn’t understand the goal of the game, since following the rules presented at the beginning or not, the game seemed to progress from one level to the next. I’m not sure if I won or not lol

Submitted

I kept seeing Unity console errors popping up after clicking all the things on the screen so I wasn't able to progress unfortunately.

Submitted

same here!

Developer

I think you can clear those, otherwise refreshing the page helped too. Thanks for playing

Am I just clicking things and then moving on to the next level . . .? And sometimes things make noises and go splat, and other time there's no sound effect?

Fat Beats! cute and sadistic, a great combo.

I really like the simplicity of the concept, although I needed a bit more context to appreciate it. Like why do I collect them? Nevertheless it was interesting to see all those creatures splashed because of my mistakes .The middle button was starting to scroll. In the setting of the project you can activate the option to play full screen mode, which would help with this issue. Overall I like it :)

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. I just enabled the itch.io setting for the full screen button. Hopefully that fixes it

Developer

Also yeah there was meant to be a bit more context but unfortunately we ran out of time. It’s intended to be a game about perspective, that’s all I feel I can say

the concept is lovely. however, i hope the middle mouse click was not used as an active button because it activated the screen roll and i kept going up and down on the page... Also, when the boxes appeared, I couldn't understand which was which, though that might just be me... Good Luck!
