Scrap Line

Hey everyone — I’ve been working on a small solo project called Scrapline and just released an early playable prototype

It’s a fast-paced train-defense roguelite where you build and defend a moving convoy while fighting off swarms of enemies. You collect scrap during runs, expand your train with different carts and weapons, and try to survive as long as possible while the difficulty escalates.

The game is still early, so I’m mainly looking for:

  • gameplay feedback,
  • balance ideas,
  • readability/UI feedback,
  • and general “is this actually fun?” impressions.

Some recent additions:

  • armor carts that protect nearby carts,
  • reactor/power management,
  • flamethrowers, mortars, missiles, tesla carts,
  • leech enemies that attach to carts and drain them,
  • upgrade cards and build synergies.

Would genuinely love any thoughts, criticism, or ideas. Even small feedback helps a lot right now while systems are still flexible.

Thanks for checking it out.

I love the idea, the main character walking at train speed and every enemy on foot make the whole thing quite strange. Why don't you use cars, bikes or horses?

Did have some one  brought up last night about a horse would be cool. I was just using a old character design that i  had drawn and thought was cool as i he origonly was a sky boat engineer.  And i thought he would fit ok as a train engineer XD.
But yer i see what you mean by that now, and how it feels odd.
