I liked this a lot, I was a little intimidated at first but there's enough feedback that once I started experimenting it was really easy to pick up. I did find it a little frustrating how often I seemed to get two elements touching each other that should have been able to combine but just refused to, but other than that this was solid. The screenshake felt really nice, and I really enjoyed getting some chain reactions going. Great job!

I enjoyed the ending, very nice little puzzle

Excellent job! It was intuitive and had good difficulty. Lost first two attempts, and won the third. The night reveal was fun!

Very cool idea! It was pretty intuitive, the interactions felt responsive, and I enjoyed experimenting in my cauldron. The creative direction also feels cohesive and fits the theme well, it definitely gives off medieval alchemy vibes!

The only thing I didn't understand was what triggered the contents of the cauldron to be turned into gold, was it supposed to be tied to the day and night cycle? If so, that didn't seem to trigger in the second round I played. My first round ended quite quickly, but the second round felt like it went on for too long, I would've liked it if my cauldron reset more frequently. I also didn't like that the combinations I'd unlocked disappeared from the scroll when restarting, it would be nice to be able keep the knowledge that you've gained from previous play throughs.

Overall, I did find it pretty engaging, and I could see this working as a longer game, but I think it would require more possible combinations to experiment with to keep it interesting.

Simple and intuitive system, with a game loop that is already well tested and the magnum opus inspired twist. My biggest problem with the game is that I saw little investment in progressing further. After creating gold on the day side and seeing how the night elements interacted with the base elements I had nothing inside me interested in continuing with the game. It felt like a slog to try and achieve the same thing just with more steps and new elements.

And to be honest I don't know how to solve this problem. Maybe having shorter levels in which you have to make a certain element with a limited amount of gold, and then a sequence of levels each having different items in the shop too would make me feel like advancing in a natural way. Or maybe adding a side loop of sorts, like selecting an element to throw into some random thing? Haha That would be fun. There are many tiny loops like this that are being turned into slay the spire-like combat mechanics. An example would be backpack hero, that uses a inverntory management for combat, or dungeonclawler, that uses a claw machine mini game.

The controls and responsiveness is very well implemented. I love how the coins fit the little stack on the right.

I feel like the left recipe/diagram could be always displayed. I was constantly opening and closing that. I don't feel like memorizing that diagram was fun, so it started to be a distraction and having to move my mouse over there took me out of the flow most of the times.

Great visuals and sound effects too.

Overall nice game! Hope this feedback can help the team :)

Pleasant one :) Music gives much to the atmosphere. I would add something to stir the brew, or include an option to pick one of the elements and move it with a bit of force. I was hoping to get something interesting from those elements besides just adding them together. Maybe a list of potions to brew or a combination to do, like add + variant and the -variant = ??.  Anyway, very good interaction and fun to play with!

Cool Idea, I was a bit confused that blue and yellow make up purple, I think if you would line up the upgrades to their actually color mixtures, it would make even more sense to players. But besides that it's a cozy game, I rly love the art style and the music tho!

Cool twist on this sort of matching game.
Fits well with the theming too.

Great Job :)

Well done! Very intuitive and creative.

This was wonderful. I like the combination of matching & physics. I found it a bit tough to remember all the combinations, and the big menu was quite disruptive, it'd be nice in a more finished game to have either the recipes more persistent, or to use some other subtle queues to help me remember. Regardless, I thought this was fantastic, and a high level of quality for a game jam entry

Enjoyed my time with this! Feels like a complete game with a lot of juice. It was fun checking the scroll to learn new combinations!

Great combination of intuitive controls with a gameloop that encourages experimentation, meaning it's okay to not explain things upfront.

The visual style is also great, love the alchemy theme, but I wish there was some way to pin the scroll so I don't have to hover over it every time, or if the combinations were more obvious. It all made sense until I saw yellow+blue=purple, and then the second and third tier doesn't seem to have any obvious logic I could discern.

Very good game though, out of the few I played it might be my favorite so far.

Great game! The notes scroll was *chefs kisses*. Was a bit frustrating doing the night elements, would have liked to "pay" to make it become night and have it last x purchases or some such. I got so close to making the magnum opus of combining morning and night golden orbs, presuming that such a magnum opus exists of course. The one thing I didn't quite understand was when I ran out of coin and my orbs converted into coins, it seemed like the game reset instead of giving me the mucho coin I converted. Gave it a few attempts and got real close so it was engaging enough to make me want more!

I thought this was very nice and enjoyed it. At first I was a bit confused by the prices of the items, but then got it.

I thought y'all did a great job showing the combinations of the items. And once I knew that I felt like I could start having a strategy.

I think the only unclear thing to me whilst playing was the goal or time limit. I saw the day/night changing and later understood that. But when the items in the cauldron converted to money I was a bit unsure what caused it. But then realized it was the day/night?

Great job
