I wanted to get to this stage much sooner. But I have run out of time. I just want a couple of people to give me feedback and tell me if the controls are ok.

I got stuck today trying to make my L-shape block work. Hopefully I can add it tomorrow.  There are only 2 blocks at the moment.

Things to do: Add sound; Make the starting platform smaller; more blocks; make the game more difficult and fun.

Two gameplay ideas I have are

1-Add a very difficult block every so often (probably don't have time to do this)

2-Raise the minimum level blocks can be placed over time forcing the player build to faster

Appreciate any feedback or ideas. Even if I don't have time to include them before the Jam closes. I definitely want to carry on developing this after.

The one thing that feels strange to me would be how you let the player controls the camera angle.

It feels a bit strange how holding the right mouse button (while the mouse or not) basically pause the block's movement in the meanwhile.

Personally, I would have set it with 3 means:

• On-screen buttons to quickly turn the camera 45 or 90 degrees (since the game controls involves the mouse).
• Keys/Buttons (like for a Controller) to quickly turn the camera 45 or 90 degrees.
• Instead of rotating the camera "smoothly" while holding the right mouse button (and pausing the block from going down) over time, I think it would be better to add some stickiness to it. Something like holding the right mouse and moving the mouse left or right a certain distance for the game to, only then, rotate 45 or 90 degrees.

And while the camera rotate automatically (which should only last a sec), I would set the block movement to pause (like it's currently doing when you holding the right mouse button).

Otherwise, I feel like the controls are alright.

Thank you for this advice, you helped me a great deal. I have implemented your idea. Now you can rotate the camera 90 degrees with the left and right mouse buttons. And I stopped the pausing during camera rotation and block movement to give a more high-tempo feel

Like the color of the block, the control seems fine for me. Just due to my whole weekend sprint coding on my own game... brain is pretty dead now...

Just curious... is this like a variation of 3D Tetris? It operates like one and looks like one... LOL but I couldn't find rules anywhere so you may want to type out a quick description in your game description page.

Anyway, if you have a chance, once you have done your game, please take a look of mine. It is my first game jam game so I can see a lot of things I should improve. Maybe you can see something I haven't (which would be great as the more opinions i get the better). Thanks!

What is my game meant to be? Hmmm yes that is a good question. I did intend come kind of 3d tetris when I started. But the game design got lost along the way after clearing the many programming and technical hurdles. And now I have run out of time so I have cobbled together something quite different. I have now added a quick description to the game start screen and the page. Thank you for the feedback.

LOL good idea like your new game description. Maybe add some kind of winning conditions would be great as well. If you have no time for winning condition. I have one for you: STEM tower building game using unpredictable block-shapes. inspiring kids to be creative with lego like experience only that they have to use whatever that's given to them to strength creativity building for young curious mind.

I was thinking it would be similar to tetris, I like the idea of building blocks. I was trying to setup on covering all square blocks to check if I can win the game. One issue that I've encountered when the long blocks was hit by the square box it fell and the goal of completely filling up all square boxes was now impossible for me because the blocks collided and has dropped. I like that there was a space bar to make it faster to fall at first I thought I just need to wait and the camera movement too was working well. At first because I didn't read the controls I was trying to fill out all the square boxes without rotating the camera. Here is the screenshot I was able to have 49 blocks spawned.

I replied to your comment on the game page. Thank you again for taking the time to give feedback.
