The game is very interesting and nice .I like it . It do need ui controls .Keep it up.
Nyehheheheh! This game is just amazing! As an Undertale fan I found this to be just amazing. You have made such a good RPG in such a short amount of time. Your game is full of so many things, that I was just speechless. Almost everything was perfect, I just loved the music and found the pixel art to be very very clean and polished, I have no complaint regarding the game. Absolute masterpiece.
P.S. It would be really nice if you could teach me how to make a dialogue system like yours. It was so good, that I just fell in love with it. Let me know if you would like to teach me. I will be super happy to learn it.
thank you for playing the game! glad you enjoyed it, also the dialogue system is a bit complicated , i might need your discord or something so i can explain it fully on how it works, and it doesnt use yarn!
Thank you so much for agreeing to help me with the dialogue system, I would really like to see how you made such an amazing dialogue system without yarn, because I currently use yarn and it's just simple.
Here's my discord: dev23506
beautiful pixel art and music!! this game totally achieved the rpg vibes you were aiming for :D
Love the pixel art and music! Nice job in creating a story with dialogue. The boss attack patterns were well done too. Very impressive! Congrats!
Congrats! This is a really fleshed out game, even if it is heavily inspired. The execution is really solid and I really enjoyed the overall flow of the game. However the combat does feel rather clunky for a game that relies on dodging (is it intentionally there for the challenge?) Oh yea, and the first room in the prison, the player can just dash out of the bars without needing the key.
Moving on, the soundtrack is AMAZING! If its alright, may I ask how you produced it, or what software did you use?Its kinda funny how the main menu theme is one of my favourite so I would stay at the menu for a short period of time just to listen to it AHAHA
THANK YOU FOR PLAYING THE GAME!! the bug in the prison room was not intentional i forgot to turn off a variable wich SUCKED, oh well what can i do about it, for music i produced it myself using fl studio 21, soundfonts from old videogames and general midi soundfonts like SGM and THfont and everything else was just composing, mixing, and mastering! hope that helped! if you have further questions just ask, also the menu theme was composed like a year ago for one of my rpgs!
OMG, this is going to be one of my favorite games! I really hope there will be a sequel!
I love the art style and the music was really fun! You have a pretty strong game here, but my only issue is that it's littered with bugs. I dashed into the first boss's room and then the game softlocked. There are some Z ordering issues as well. However, you still did a fantastic job and I understand bugs and game jams go hand in hand. Good job and congrats on submitting!
Very good! The atmosphere and gameplay are excellent. :)
el juego se ve super, los graficos son increibles, de veras me gusto. Puedes probar el mio si quieres.
This was a fun time for the short amount I played, and the game looks absolutely stunning! I liked the dialogue, and the enemy designs were fun.
This game looks almost exactly like "Mina the Hollower" to the tea, but with infleunce from "Undertale" and "The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening... Not the most original, but still definitely interesting ( can't really be too based off of Mina the Hollower since it hasn't released, but it's all I could think of while playing ).
... But I kept getting softlocked which really sucked.
Overall really good though!
thank you for playing the game!! i was hugely inspired by mina the hollowers overall aesthetic so i wanted to replicate that into my own, and i wanted to tap into the nes style palettes and artstyle wich was quite challenging to create! sorry for the bugs, i wasnt able to eliminate them in time
are you a huge Zelda fan?
yes! i am
It's such a cool project! Still a bit buggy and underdeveloped, however, as for a game made in a week, you did really great job! I love the cohesive pixel art style! Cheers!
This is goated. How the hell did you make this masterpiece in 9 days? Cool!
thank you for playing the game!! i have a lot of free time and my hands these days and im not new to gdevelop, ive been using it for about 4 years
Ohh! that explains it, keep going.
I really loved the art style! I can definitely see the Undertale and Zelda inspiration in there. It’s a game with a lot of potential and seems like it has tons of content. Great job!
THANK YOU!! i really appreciate your comment , glad you enjoyed the gam
I loved the art in this game as well as the sound design, I would recommend making it so that the player may shoot when they are moving because as of now it feels a bit clunky, I also encountered a bug where when I entered the first boss room, the player went off screen never to be seen again. But you still did a seriously amazing job!
There’s a bit of nostalgia in this game — I really enjoyed playing it and challenging myself against the bosses.
Too good I love Zelda games and also this, and you managed to get a boss fight that's cool
The art is gorgeous, and I'd be surprised if the music isn't the best in the jam. Unfortunately though, the shooting feels really bad, and it's extremely frustrating how you have to be standing completely still in order to fire, especially seeing as your character doesn't immediately stop. A lot of the bosses had attack where all you really needed to do was stand there, and so that kind of brought them down.
But those are seriously my only two complaints, the art, writing, music - everything is on point! Amazing job!
Thank you for your rating, and for the feedback!! appreciate it
