The art style in Banana Climbing is genuinely charming and full of personality — cattymations put it perfectly when they said it has a strong identity you could recognize anywhere, and that's a real skill that a lot of jam games lack. The track choice of "You Gotta Keep On Movin'" is also a hilariously perfect fit for a monkey climbing a tree, great instinct there! The one thing pretty much everyone agrees on — Kribol, Friendlybite, spontman — is that a timer or some form of time pressure would instantly transform this into a much more exciting experience, and Friendlybite's stamina bar idea that recharges on banana collection is a really creative direction worth exploring. Adding some tween animations post-jam would also go a long way in making the already-cute character feel even more alive. Feel free to check out my sky platformer too if you get a moment!

The talk box and the funk was very nice! The gameplay was fun for a while when I forced myself to rush but would have been nice if there was something more than bundles becoming single bananas in the game that urges you to be quicker, like a stamina bar that runs out but gets recharged when eating bananas. But overall I think its a good job!

Simple and super fun to play! With a bit of polish and a few simple tween animations, this game would be on a whole new level. Also, I love the art style and the cute character, adorable!

I like it! It's a great simple game, but it lacks some kind of a difficulty setting. Perhaps a timer or a scrolling background that forces you to go faster could work great in this game.

The art is wonderfully done - very expressive and full of character while retaining a strong identity, if I saw it in a random place I could easily associate it with you.
The gameplay was far too simple, there's essentially no decision making, strategy, thought or challenge; even a small timer would've done wonders.
The music was great and fit with the whole monkey vibe, but I would appreciate more sound effects and game feel overall for that matter.
A lot of talent and effort was clearly put into this! I really look forward to whatever you make next and will be watching your work closely!

I like the art, music, and general idea, but I must admit I'm not huge on the gameplay. While I can absolutely admire simplicity when done well, it feels a little overdone here. It's pretty much impossible to lose unless you're actively trying to. Making the enemies move or something would improve the experience substantially.

I feel like some time pressure would elevate this game. Also, consider an indication on how well the player is doing (e.g. how far to reach the top or score comparison).
