Are you sure such a big game was made in just 9 days? 馃槄

Developer

I was actually kinda worried that people wouldn't believe it was made in 9 days.

Really incredible work, I could not finish because I want to check a little more games before this end, but you have my respect with the build. Good work. I want to play and try to finish after the jam.

Developer(+1)

thanks, and understandable. I didn't really realize how long I technically made it

Love the survival feeling of the game. It does feel a little underwhelming getting materials. but otherwise it's really good!

I'm honestly amazed this game was made in such a short amount of time. You did an amazing job making a great game :)

Submitted(+1)

i like it the lore is interesting and i like the ending with that voicecover really well done

I love the lore of this game. Especially at the start. Along with the voiceover. You even had a save / load function as well, which is very awesome. Though I struggled to understand some of the controls though, even after reading the game's description. Like how do I sleep on the bed? I tried clicking on it after placing it down and stuff but nothing haha, great potential, but I just don't get some parts of it I guess.

Developer

It's not very intuitive, but to interact with stuff, you need to back out of all the sub menus.

^^able to interact with this menu^^

The ambition here is genuinely staggering for a 9 day jam — a full 3D sandbox survival game with crafting, resource management, day/night cycle, building mechanics AND a hidden ending cutscene at the top is something most developers wouldn't even attempt. The opening poem and voice acting immediately pull you into the world and make you want to uncover the tower's secret. The positive feedback loop of expanding your production and building higher is incredibly satisfying in that incremental way that keeps you coming back for hours. Adding in-game tutorial messages and hotkeys for tools would really help new players get into it faster — the depth is clearly there, it just needs a better onboarding. Can't wait to see the completed version! Feel free to check out my sky platformer too 馃槉

Very impressed well done!

This is an impressive work, the gameplay is very complete and the concept is quite original, I like it !
It's a really great example of the potential of 3D in Gdevelopp. The result is truly impressive.

(a multiplayer mode to climb the tower with friends could be very cool :) )

I can't believe someone took on a project of this magnitude for 9 days, as is there is so much gameplay and alot of sophisticated mechanics, honestly good job probably the most complex game on the jam i have seen so far.

Submitted(+1)

Really impressive and ambitious. Such a complex game made in such a short time.

Developer

??

bro idk but my submission gone......too bad this is my firts ever game jam ):

Submitted(+1)

The level of depth in this game is insane. The menus, crafting, tools, and resource management is impressive. This is probably the most complex game I've played in the jam so far. Congrats!

Developer(+1)

Thanks!

This is wildly impressive for a 9 day jam. I don't really have much to say beyond that, but you curated a nice vibe for the game and an interesting interpretation of the theme. You could easily polish this and add more to it to be a full release. Congrats on the great job!

Developer

thanks, and I do plan on finishing it up after the jam. If there's anything you'd suggest, I'd like to hear it.

Beautiful game

Thanks!

I can鈥檛 believe this was made by one person in just 9 days!
There鈥檚 a great little ending scene at the top, I hope everyone tries to reach the top to see it!

Developer

Be sure to save before you do this if you don't want anything lost. Make sure you are back out of any sub menus and just left click on it. This chest triggers the ending cutscene.

I tried already, but nothing happened馃槩

Developer

the UI was backed out to this screen?

Got it, thank you! That poor man, I鈥檓 dying laughing, I feel like nobody has found this so far.

Developer

yeah, you might be the first one. I had a bunch of endings like this planned/recorded but I ran out of time

Submitted(+1)

It鈥檚 already really impressive, hope more people get to see it

Submitted(+1)

Damn this is possible in gdevelop? Nice work  bro.

Developer(+1)

thanks!

Extremely ambitious title for the jam. Hard to believe it was made in the time span.

Really liked the 90s PC era aesthetics. It does seem more like a game you'd have to sink hours into though, not play in the time you usually give to a jam game. I'll probably add to a collection and come back.

If I were to give advice, you need some tutorialisation (Important: It has to be in game not in a text dump at the bottom of the page) and maybe speed up initial progression. hopefully there's some interesting stuff the higher up the tower you go. good job

Developer

thanks. I did have toaster messages that explained what to do on my list of things to add, but I ran out of time to add them. I kinda tend to make my games too ambitious and it becomes a detriment, especially being a solo dev.
