The first one is free is such a fun name and ability lol. And the whole story beats of your faction are so cool! I'm my first faction I found it a bit tough sometimes to contribute to policing if your scoring mechanic is to have MORE enemies on the board, but I genuinely think you might have made more progress on that front here than I ever did. Would have to playtest to be sure but there's a lot to love about these guys!

Yeah, def need to do some play testing on this one. Good chance of being too easy to get points, or too hard haha.

I've made a TTS file for another faction I did a for 2024 rootjam, but it's been a while so I'd have to remember how to do it. Wasn't too bad from what I remember though. But should probably get that up sometime.

Great concept ! Really like placing warrior on their side to swhow their addiction.

When you removed the medecine cart, do you score in total 2 or 3 points (one for removing a token ?) . What happens if an addicted warrior is converted by the lizard cult or propaganda bureau ? Is it still addicted ?

Developer

1. Somehow I had in my mind removing a token doesn't give a VP lol; probably was thinking of Ruling.

I think my intention was to make it where the enemy couldn't just keep attacking it and getting points though. If someone booped it 4 time in their turn, they'd get 5 points currently. Not sure if that is too many to get. Or, if they focused that highly on it, they deserve them anyways.

I like the idea of the enemy getting rewarded hitting it, but didn't want to make it where the best course of action is hunting it down for each players turn.

I could probably be convinced either way, and playtesting would give me a better idea  what is better. In its current form though, it probably should be updated to indicate its 2 VP total (maybe 3) and no more VP after the first hit.

2. I believe the idea of these cards/abilities is that you are basically converting that warrior to the ideas of the other faction.
So, if a Eyrie bird was converted to a Lizard Cult, I think its less they become a Lizard and more they believe in the Lizard Gods (or whatever they believe).

So, it'd make sense to me if they keep the addicted status, as its a change of mind, not body.

(Though if that isn't the idea of the cards/abilities, might need to be the other way)

Yes you wouldn't want the medecine cart to be a point piñata for the rest of the table haha

I agree with your interpretation, it would be quite traumatizing for a bird to have scales and teeth that are starting to grow x) Although you could argue that religion could keep a critter from relapsing into drugs

This faction is hilarious!  I'm just imagining a drunken Cat stumbling about and following the Snakes instead of their commanding officer.  Great idea!

I saw throughout your board that it was very clear you were counting addicted enemy warriors.  There isn't a way for the Tycoon warriors to get addicted themselves, is there? ;-)

Developer

Yeah, it stemmed from a weird spiral of random thoughts, and here we are haha.

And there probably shouldn't be a way.. but I kept indicating enemy just in case there is ever another faction that can also do this. It's very unnecessary, probably, but I did it just in case.

My co-worker always says "Be specific, be terrific!".   Being extra clear isn't a bad thing; just wanted to make sure I hadn't missed something ;-).  Thanks for the submission!
