Really enjoyed the 2D art in a 3D game. The camera work at the end looked really smooth and polished
The music carries this pretty heavily. It's such a calming and enjoyable time. Nice implementation of the theme too
And this was ready after 3 days? Amazing. Even I'm not much into puzzles it was well-done and accessible. And the theme was met, obviously. Liked the final cutscene.
I think the "secret sauce" of the game was the music, it sounded very professional.
I was amazed when I saw that this game had been made by only one person. You must have really put in a lot of hours to get this result in 10 days. I'm not a big fan of puzzle games in general so I wouldn't have so many relevant things to say but I surely wish you a nice evening :)
nice relaxing game , great music !
Alright puzzle game. The camera system was fun, even if rotating the camera caused some sprite flickering. The puzzles were decent. The AI thumbnail looks nothing like the actual game, it's misleading.
I just connects and it just lit up. Really nice presentation.
I like the music.
fell in love with the 2D character in a 3D world style, music was great. gg great job ty - camera control was a little wonky for me but I managed to complete the puzzles fine. Im not sure if I won
Nice music. I liked the character visuals but the controls were very cumbersome for me. I liked that the theme interpretation was very explicit
i like this game! very good puzzle
A very cool puzzle game! I was a bit confused by the camera angle at first, but once I got the hang of it I had a fun time with the game. The music was really nice too!
This is great! you've done a really nice job, well done
Cool looking game, camera angle was a bit off but the style was great, well done.
Sick beats! The music slaps. The character is well animated. Good job!
This was overall very thoughtful.
The theme is implemented well. This game feels like it has and wants to tell a compelling narrative. The camera control given to the cutscene logic has a nice feel to it that gives the game a liveliness that is wanting to emphasize what feels to be narrative aspect of the game. The music, the character visual, and the environment work together very well to convey an air mystery, exploration, and adventure that could be intended. Though the character visual clashes with the polygons in the game's current form, it doesn't take away from the overall feeling that every element is weaving together. And after solving the overall puzzle in this small sliver of a project, you definitely want to know more about what is going on and explore the fruits of your labor, especially after that 7-8 piece puzzle. I would have liked to see nature elements amongst the blue structure, mirroring the feeling that the thumbnail gives (the sense of adventure and feelings that exploration invites). Some foliage and or vegetations would have really tied in the brief game descriptions as well. I would look forward to seeing more emphasis on the environment in this project's current state as I was very impressed with the high quality character that reminded me of a Sprite from an NIS America PS2 RPG.
The camera rotation could use some work, but it didn't take away my focus. It was fair to control. There were times that felt like the character would move faster when moving horizontal versus vertical, which felt a little clunky for some reason (maybe it was the animation? or normalization, or just my perception). I would consider possibly moving the messaging UI that is at the top left corner of the game window, to a more obvious location, maybe at the bottom center of the screen or the bottom right with some vertical padding? I actually for the longest time didn't realize I was receiving these messages until I got frustrated trying to connect the last group of nodes and starting looking around the sides of the screen (because I was focused on the messages popping up around the puzzle nodes themselves, for some reason overlooked what was happening in the top corner). Reading those messages helped me take different approaches to connecting the puzzle together.
It would be interesting to see where this project goes and how it grows if it is to be continued to be worked on :3
I also used my gamepad to walk around and to interact with the puzzles because that felt (and does feel) more intuitive to me, and bizarrely while using the mouse to rotate. You should consider implementing rotation control on the game pad too :D
Loved the music!
The controls or level design could use a bit more work so you don't constantly walk off platforms
Central tower waking up!! I finished the game. I have to say, the controls were a bit difficult—especially when I had to use the mouse. Also, I don’t know why, but the fullscreen button didn’t work for me. The puzzles weren’t hard, but I’m not sure I fully understood the rules :D Thanks for sharing.
My jaw dropped as I played this game. Especially the ending. The way you applied elements of HD-2D was really cool. Your player character was well done and the animations were beautiful and smooth. And I love the camerawork at the end. It really pulled it all together and made the conclusion feel really satisfying.
