With a month and a bit left for the game jam I thought I'd make a thread for you all to pitch the project you all are working on and updates if you want to keep everyone in the loop of what your working on as well.

Remember its mostly going to be for fun but I hope you lal enjoy working on the jam and I'm looking forward to what possible games might come out from this.

Just discovered the jam tonight and I am hooked, albeit from a more unique / original angle. Don’t mind if I extrude the jam into the Y2K period (& into multiple sorts of technological innovations & toys) and reuse my very own pseudo-speculative world-building?

I wanna do something more “turnkey wholesale packages” than TTRPG material for existing intermedia franchises (won’t stop from studying LumenSRD NOVA corpus as loose guidance). Taking a hints from Bionicles, iZ, PlayMobil & Cyrillic-COMECON TransformersAU somewhat. Still got much of my very own canon to incorporate on there, includes history deviations and open schematics / BOM technical specifications too.

If time permits me so post-jam, I would like to append my own whole copyleft ecosystem designs for modular construction toys (LincolnLogs+Modulex?), their “agentic” playsets (old-school Lisp expert systems? onto VMEbusEuroCard/Turbochannel computeBus standard) & tech-wise commune-building amenities (ArneLegoPlanet + Terraria NPC residences?) where the player-s build up their own urban realms & trade/fight over the sandbox playground (H.G. Wells’ FloorGames & LittleWars)? I will most likely go overboard with the setting guide design either way.

Hey there, thanks for replying to my thread. Looking forward to what you'll eventually come up with, we have little over half a month left on the game jam so i'm curious to see how many people will finish a project. I had someone submit a computer game but i unfortunatly had to decline that one since this game jam is all about making tabletop games.

I will keep that in mind, tysm for the attention. Would you mind recommending / referring me to valuable contemporary TTRPG free “ruleset design” resources as to get everything important for play within the 16-24 pages estimate? I am kinda new to it all, but not without resources.

Maybe for my next jam I shall include some free to use rulesets to make it easier for people. Not much i can do about it now since its only a few days left. But I'll keep iti n mind for the next jam. This is also my first time hosting a jam so its really been a ;earning experience for me.
