Fun game! It was satisfying dropping off the boxes to be collected
really neat delivery game! the physics really make the game more fun and unpredictable. I managed to get stuck under the box that I was delivering and couldn't escape lol (illustrated above). All in all, a very fun game if you're into delivery games with physics objects!
At first I couldn't quite find the actual playing area and was flying around the building instead of into the entrance to its inner section... That clearly needs some better indication (and, as you already mentioned, some limits to keep the player within the level).
The packages actually seem to be quite heavy, so the rubber band might break when the package gets stuck at some corner and needs some careful maneuvering around. Especially when turning downwards where the player's drone goes much faster than the package (and then might get crushed below it). :)
The drone motor buzz sounds quite realistic, especially when you try to lift up with a package in tow.
Nice touch there were several BGM tracks!
great job on this. Really well polished gameplay. Nice visuals. quick to understand, with a difficulty to master the gaps etc. Excellent puzzler.
Future wise, I'd be suggesting. levels based,.. get these 3 specific packages to the drop zone in the timer,.. and ramp up the difficulty in the puzzle layout (arena) as well as the number of packages etc.
Then you're into extra's and pick ups and consuables etc.
But that's all future stuff, not game jam scale. I hope you do continue this project, well done team.
Visually it looks incredible, the music choice is spot on and keeps the player tense enough, the rope physics of the boxes works smoothly, I might have a few humble suggestions, maybe a complementary color like orange could have been chosen to make the drone and packages stand out more, also I fell down at one point on the map, there is a gap in the level :D I managed to climb back up but I lost a lot of time :D still you delivered a finished game with a proper loop, the gameplay is challenging enough and enjoyable enough, thanks for submission
Hey thanks for the idea about the complmentary colour, great idea/suggestion. Thanks for playing and sharing your thoughts, appericate it
Really enjoyable and challenging !
Not sure if it's only me, but I felt that the drone sound is very much synched to the music. If that was on purpose, then a big kudos to the sound designer !!
GGs and good luck with the submission.
Would love a review on mine if possible please <3
Ayy thanks very much, it was the first time all three of us worked on a godot project together so it's means a lot to hear :D
I agree, it's the small changes that make replaying a game a more novel experience
1300 is the highest I've gotten, so you're on par with me!
Interesting take on the theme!! Love how you guys interpreted it! I just wish packages in real life were delivered in a more soft manner.. haha! 😜
Love how you guys managed to have great physics and incorporate it as part of the puzzle.. 💪 This game has potential to add more mechanics and environment puzzles , I think!
I think the chromatic aberration style was a bit too much beyond what I would personally like, but that's just personal preference..
(for some odd reason, when I saw the pool underground, this reminded me of the game 'earth worm jim 2', where there is a stage where you also have to deliver something, but it's an exploding cow you have to dunk on a bathtub.. haha 😅)
Fun game, congrats to the team! Hope you expand it more!
I really like the look and feel of this. Is this actually 2D, or is it 3D with some sort of pixelated filter? It's a very unique visual style
Really cool idea. The boxes kinda blend in with the background a bit too much in my opinion. I do like the limited color palette though. The controls take a bit to get used to, but I got really invested once I got used to them. It's fun to play. Great job!
Overall fun game!
Overall fun game!
Fun game!
Fun delivery game! I like the attention to lighting which is especially evident on the water. The level design is diabolical, especially the spot in the lower right - spent so much time trying to get out of that zone.
If you hit space twice at the very start you get stuck under the crate, but fortunately there's a well documented reset key.
Very fun game. For the start we have an impatient generation that may not want to wait for credits to be able to press start. I accidentally got stuck under a box the first time, the second time, I flew completely off map not picking anything up because I wasn't quite sure what to do. the third time i picked up the box found the entrance to the level and then was like wooo this is pretty cool. Art style is great. Music fits. Mechanics are fun. If you are looking to expand upon it I could see you doing things like dropping boxes on enemies to kill them in order to get through certain parts of the mazes. Very well done!
A lot of fun. The game looks and sounds great as well, love the 'tada' sound at delivery! One issue I had was that I could get stuck beneath a box several times and couldn't find a way to progress except for resetting the level.
Plays very smooth, looks amazing. Great execution all round. Deserves to do VERY WELL in this jam! Wish there was a gradual progression, like 3 packages then 5, then 8. Could have used the same level. Once i had put in 5 packages in, i lost interest with the only threat being a timer i didn't care about. But generally looks and feels great, could be a full indie title with a few more mechanics, objectives and threats.
Don’t trust me to deliver your packages in one piece XD Ran into some known issues, but liked the way you used the theme; I think we did something similar with attaching something heavy to the player.
Pretty cool little game. The artstyle is sweet. Movements are fluid. Different routes makes it interesting. However it has room to grow and I am pretty sure you can make it even better.
Really cool game, and I love the visual aesthetic and artstyle. As some people already mentioned here, the controls are a bit hard to get used to, but other than that, great job!
