Very beautiful design .i really liked it alot.i loved how you made an extra controlers for it, was there more than one carrot in the scene

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! 😊
Yes, there are more carrots later! If you got stuck at the beginning, try using the action button near the mailbox after collecting the first carrot. Hope you'll continue your journey! 🎑🐰

Hey buddy! I liked your game, it has a lot of potential. I loved how you made it look like we're playing on those old video game consoles like the Game Boy. The music and sound effects are really good. I also liked that it has PC and mobile support and fits the jam theme. Here's what needs improvement: the collisions are a bit clunky, it's hard to understand the game's lore, it lacks a HUD to see what we've collected, and it would be cool if you added a countdown timer to add more excitement.

If you have time, could you try my game too? It was made entirely on mobile by one person

Hey buddy, thank you so much for the detailed feedback 🙂 Really happy you enjoyed the Game Boy style, the music and the overall atmosphere!

And yes, you're absolutely right about the collisions and the lack of clarity in some parts. Funny thing is... the lights actually work as a weird hidden counter too 😅 For example, carrots give you two lights, but I probably got a bit too cryptic with the visual language haha.

The HUD suggestion definitely makes sense, and I also like the countdown timer idea. Thanks again for taking the time to write such honest feedback 🙂

I’ll gladly try your game too! Respect for making it entirely on mobile by yourself.

That's quite eerie... Pretty cool entry, nevertheless!

Glad you enjoyed the weird vibe 😄🫪

I'm not sure if I reached the end of the game, but I really liked the way you handled the art and lighting. You should definitely keep developing this style in your future games and improve it even more!

Thank you so much, this honestly means a lot to me 🙂

I spent a huge amount of time trying to create a very specific atmosphere through the art, lighting and music, so reading this really makes me happy.

And yes, I definitely want to keep exploring and improving this style in future projects 🎑

Crazy art style. I could tell this was going to be interesting from the thumbnail. Did you draw the assets on paper and scanned them or are all digital?

While I appreciate the style, a tutorial at the beginning and a faster movement speed would have done wonders to the game. (A bit too slow for my liking) For example at the beginning I wasn't sure that I should press A near the mailbox.

Developer

Thank you so much for playing and for the detailed feedback 🙂
Really glad you liked the art style!
Yes, all the assets are hand-drawn by me, then processed digitally 🙂

It's a great game, but I think the people will think it's broken or too complicated if they don't read the description.

Thank you so much for playing and commenting 🙂
I think you’re probably right. Communication and clarity are my biggest boss fights as a developer.
I’d genuinely love to know what you expected to happen in the first moments of the game.

Honestly, I expecting a bad platformer at first because controls didn't seem all that great, the design was cool but sluggish. But I was wrong, cause it was not an ordinary platformer, I realized it soon after when the landscape began to transform.
