the game mechanic is really good and I really like the artstyle. If you have time pls play and rate my game too.
The hat throwing mechanic is such a clever and creative puzzle platformer concept — using the hat as a jump pad, throwing it over walls and recalling it when it turns blue creates a really unique and satisfying movement system. The pixel art on the rocks, character and hat animations all look great, and the green ghosting effect when jumping is a really nice polished touch. The puzzle design clearly has real depth — SuperGuajiro made it to level 6 once the mechanic clicked! An easier introductory level and auto-restart on death would really help new players get into the flow faster. Really well thought out entry — great work! Feel free to check out my sky platformer too 😊
Thanks so much for the great feedback. Yeah I agree I should of made some easier beginner levels to help players learn the mechanics more, and a auto restart is definitely something I overlooked, it would of been so easy for me to add! Ill remember that for future projects I will take all this feedback on board. Thanks again for playing and leaving a comment, really appreciate it.
Amazing game nice feel amazing mechanic, just that I can't pass the lvls I am to noob for the game. But a Big Thumbs up from me!👍
Love the pixel art! The rocks, hat, character, and animations look great. I wouldn't change a thing. I like the green ghosting effect too when the player jumps. I think the main gameplay mechanic is excellent as well. From my personal experience, I was never able to recall my hat. Could be a bug to look into, unless I was doing something wrong.
Just a small suggestion, on your ground tile, you could delete the area I highlighted in green, and it might give the rocks more of a rocky look. It's just an idea. I'm only mentioning it because I think your game has a lot of polish and could easily be a full game. So, I'm just offering some ideas that could help. But it looks fine either way.
Thank so much for playing and for the great feedback , it's really helpful :) . It's a shame recalling the hat wasn't working for you , I think I should of made it more clear that you can only recall the hat when it is Blue , so maybe that's where you had an issue. That's my fault for not adding that info to the tutorial. I'm glad you still enjoyed the game . Thank again for your feedback :)
Ok, I tried it again, and it works! I was able to make it to level 6. A quick suggestion, when a player dies, you can have the game wait a sec or less, and then auto-restart the level. It will save the player from having to hit "R". The reset works well if the player is alive but messed up. But if he or his hat dies, auto-restarting might be a nice quality of life feature for players. These are just minor suggestions. The game is well made. Good job!
Cool game. Well done.
Please play and rate our game.
i like a lot of stuff in this one but yeah maybe a simpler level to start would've been better idea , but still very good
Thank you for playing and the feedback ! its really helpful :)
Cool idea but got me frustrated and stumped, should have started with some levels for dumb dumbs like me lol.
I think there's definitely potential here and like the art ....and any game featuring a top hat gets a big thumbs up from me!...but looking at the screen shots i don't think i got far enough to discover its true depth as i found it quite frustrating going though the wall and being left on the right ....while the hats on the left. ...i pressed r quite a lot. I love that the hat can be a jump pad and be thrown but im not sure about the player going invisible after throwing hat mechanic. the games very well executed though and well thought out .....thanks for adding a tutorial!
Thank you for playing and thank you for the feedback ! It's really helpful. I struggled to find people to play test the game so I understand it may be frustrating if you ended up on opposite side of the wall from the hat haha. The main solution for the puzzles was meant to be throwing the hat over the wall as you pass through and then catch the hat on the other side . But I get this wad easier for me to do as I played the levels 100s of times haha. Thanks again for playing!
There is a lot of potential for a great puzzle platformer with interesting movement tech! For me the hat recall felt a bit unresponsive, also got stuck under the hat when trying to put it down next to a wall. But good job!
This is a very interesting game, but it’s too difficult for me.
Thank you for the feedback and tha ks for playing ! :)
i liked the ideas in this game !
