short and sweet, some of the moving platforms are surprisingly challenging to parkour on. If you have spare 5 minutes, do check this one out!
Cute little game overall, I finished it and it was fun to play. The only thing I really missed was sound effects, but honestly my imagination was adding them every time the pug jumped anyway
Thanks for playing and thank you for the feedback!
Neat platformer, and of course I checked it out because of the pug :-)
I will say I also found the rotating doors difficult, as it messes with my motion sickness. If I were to make this for my kids I would have the door spin and the collision stay still, or the camera stay in 'place' separate from the pug models rotation.
I played a few times and got my time to about 16 seconds (I cheesed the fence).
Thanks for that feedback, I'm taking that note down from a few people. This submission was my first game-jam, and it makes me want to keep playing with animation blending and wiring up characters in Unreal.
And everyone was happy!
I'm very impressed with this pug. It can jump higher than I expected and it has excellent traction. There were a few times I was certain I'd made a mistake and would fall off a platform, yet managed to stick the landing.
It's a little disorientating to stand on the spinning platforms, since the pug/camera are influenced by their rotation. I suppose that should be considered part of the challenge, it's more of an observation than a complaint.
PUG! nice work fun little game. Animation blending is always tricky!
Awesome job! It was simple, thoughtful, and wholesome. The pug was really cute and reconnecting them back with family is a strong interpretation of the theme.
TY so much, this was my first game jam, and our family pug was a big inspiration.
Perhaps there is another pug game in our future!
I'm a simple person. I see a dog, I play as a dog. :) Well done with the game!
Thank you!
Solid work. I was suprized on how good the pugs animation was in such a short dev time. Level design was good as well with the checkpoint system where you can climb up to the start of each section if you fell. Good job!
Thanks very much! I learned a lot about animation blending in this jam, so I'm very happy to hear that.
