This game have potential! But you should make them not casing infinitely once already detected

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot! Yeah the chasing was mostly just because I didn't have enough time to properly adjust the chase system, It'll be much better after the jam, I can promise you that!! :D

Submitted(+1)

i like it and i like the ui really polished the controls can be better

Developer

Thank you! Yeah, the controls turned out a little bad because I changed the way the ship was controlled a lot during the development, but I'll be improving it after the jam, so I appreciate your feedback on it :D

Submitted(+1)

Woah these graphics are crazy! I love the screen animations and particle effects, and when you get shot it kind of jump scares me lol. Anyway, I don't really see how this fits the theme...

Developer

Thanks a lot! Yeah I did mean it to jumpscare the player a little when they got shot, if you were inside of the ship it would probably feel like that so that was my intention! :D And yes the theme got completely lost during this time, the game is supposed to represent "Getting to the top of the space market / Top 1" but because of the time limit I couldn't properly express it well enough :[ Still thanks a lot for checking my game out :D

I bought Turbo and Weaponry, and upgraded Max Cargo to 520. When everything was going so well… I forgot to re-fuel!!

I really like the UI, it’s simple and clear, and the roguelike gameplay is exactly my favorite type.

10/10, man. I really love this game!

Developer(+1)

Wow, I honestly thought no one would try to actually buy the turbo and weaponry upgrade, but you really proved me wrong and I am so happy to hear this!! I'm glad you enjoyed it and I'm sorry about that :[

Thank you! I tried to make the UI simple enough, and I'm glad you liked the roguelike elements!! I will admit I probably made some elements a bit annoying but I plan on improving everything after the jam, but just seeing someone actually work towards these upgrades gives me a lot of hope for my game and I greatly appreciate your feedback! :D

Submitted(+1)

Really nice game  i really liked the ui and Sci-fi elements like others said. The concept is good too. Pls rate my game too if you have time

Developer

Thank you! I've just woken up so I'll rate in a little bit but thanks a lot again! :D

VERY GOOD GAME!! LOVED IT❣️ YOU CAN ALSO TRY MY GAME ❣️ HOPE YOU WILL ENJOY IT❣️

Developer

Thank you! :D

I love the sci fi UI and the visual presentation overall. Zooming the camera in/out was a great feature and was implemented well. The level of polish on all the assets and mechanics of the game really elevate it. The upgrade system and procedural elements are gonna make me wanna play this again, great work!

Developer

Thanks a big lot! I'm really glad to hear you'll be coming back, after the jam i will keep updating this game so if you enjoyed it now you'll definitely enjoy it later on! :D

I did my best with the UI and polishing, although some smaller details remained a bit unpolished i tried my best to balance working on the actual gameplay and making it look and feel nice, so this is a really big compliment and I'm happy to hear you enjoyed it!

Submitted(+1)

It’s really good! I would only improve the spaceship controls, but aside from that, it turned out really great. Congrats on the game :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I agree, I'll work on the controls as well once I get to working on this again! :] Thanks once again!

Submitted(+1)

It is definitely a very good game, I'm surprised you even got this far in such a little amount of time. There's just like 50 different things to code than can have 5-6 bugs each. And you executed it fabulously. This is definitely a cream layer lever game. But concept and execution are nearing perfection. I would have liked if police chase was a little easier but as it stands, you nailed it. Nice job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot, this means a lot to me and I'm glad to hear you liked it! :] Believe it or not, the police being that overpowered is actually a bug, they aren't supposed to be unfair but because of the lack of time I just went with it, a proper wanted system is planned and will be added in the future to greatly nerf the police though! Thanks for your review man :]

Really good game and the concept is so good tbh.. doesnt really fit to the theme but I could be so hit. Definately going somewhere in the jam:) there nothing much u could recommend on ur game comparing that my game is shit but later could have a polished art style and smoother gameplay.. im not sure of this but I think the camera shake should be a little less.. anyways very nice game!!!

Developer

Thank you! Yeah, the game was supposed to represent conquering the space market, getting to the top of it, however due to time constraints I couldn't properly express it in game. Art and gameplay will surely be improved in the future, and thank you for the camera shake feedback, I do agree it was a little exaggerated :[

I think this was a pretty solid game jam entry! I think I just wish the game had a built in tutorial or something, because at first I didn't know what to do then realized I didn't read the description.  But I understand you probably wanted to focus on the actual mechanics more. I like the clean aesthetic you went with as well. Good job and congrats on submitting!

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot! Like i mentioned in replies below, a proper tutorial was fully scripted and planned, but the time limit ended up not allowing me to properly add it, however once the jam is over I’ll definitely be adding it back in! Thanks once again! :D

It was really fun for a simple game. I died a few times but finally got the gist of it. I think that it would help if the enemy ships wouldn't be able to attack me while I'm in the radius of a planet.  Also a mini map showing where I'm at along with the planets, as well as a small tutorial button somewhere on the screen? It was hard to remember which color goes where. Other than that, your game is genuinely impressive and even more since I haven't found a single bug- which is lowkey uncommon for jam games. Good job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot for your review! The planet protection idea is actually so good, i did not think about that wow you’re actually a genius, i hope you don’t mind me borrowing this idea for the future! :D A tutorial was something that was very well planned, i had an entire script for it and everything but due to the limited time it was something i didn’t get to properly add, once the jam is over that’s something that i will be working on asap!! And trust me, you just got lucky with the bugs because they’re definitely there, but I’m glad to hear that they at least aren’t as common as i thought! Thanks for you awesome review once again and for the great feedback!

So I played your game a few times during the day and was impressed with the clean UI and the amount of upgrades and possible interactions in it!! In just 9 days, that's a really great job and you have a good team around :)) The sound was also very well chosen!

Here is a little feedback as I have promised:

  • As someone mentioned here in the comments I had a harder time remembering to whom I can sell what haha :)) So I had opened another chrome tab and was switching between them when I could not remember. Maybe in the top where you have the amount of bought goods, it could go in the steps of who is selling to whom  :) You know, like red-blue-yellow-green :)

I did read all the instructions before starting to play as you have suggested and watched the youtube video! I understand your comment towards the end haha when you wrote: I am getting tired of editing this haha

  • So despite me reading instructions and watching the tutorial video I still somehow forgot about the Zoom :) after 2 minutes and plenty of death from the police and not finding many planets I was wondering what I was missing. And then I remembered the zoom…and OOO my goodness:))) what a change!!! When I could see everything it was much easier to hide from the police, and I enjoyed flying around and finding more planets!! Maybe the game could start already zoomed out? There might be people like me out there who will not realize the zoom when they do not see it on the screen as a button :)

Overall, I was impressed and thank you for suggesting your game. Wishing you just the best in the JAM and future updates, as you wrote, you are planning to do :) Good job!

Developer

Hey hey! I’m really glad to hear you enjoyed my little project, and happy to hear i was able to impress you with this!! Yes i knew remembering the economy order was gonna be a huge problem, and i was going to add a deeper tutorial and a way to check the economy order, but like many many things, they could not make it due to the limited time, that will be a big priority once i pick this back up! The zoom issue is something that didn’t occur to me until after i released the jam, and then it was like “Oh shoot, the camera is too close by default for a game about exploring space, if they don’t figure out how to zoom they won’t be able to find anything!! D:” it was of course too late to fix that and the only choice was to pray they read and remembered the controls, that also will be a priority, luckily it’s a very very easy fix so it won’t be much of an issue to me! And no; Thank YOU for your awesome words and for checking my game out, your feedback is very very much appreciated and thanks a lot once again! :D

Submitted(+1)

Interesting concept; the zoom function is welcome for spotting other planets. Replacing the arrows with actual spaceships (even very simple ones) would make the experience more immersive.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your review! The reason for the spaceships being arrows is because the game is supposed to take place on a screen inside of the spaceship, you’re looking at a radar of space and that’s why spaceships are arrows and planets are just white circles until actually approached, and the realistic view is seen on the corner :D That’s the “aesthetic” I’ve gone for, but your feedback is of course highly appreciated and I will keep it in mind!

Submitted(+1)

I understand the art direction better now. In this case, the choice is justified.

Developer(+1)

I’m glad to hear that then! Thanks a lot once again:D

you know what? 5 star.

Developer

Hey thanks a lot!

I think you did very well with polish as I did not find a single bug the whole time, which is REALLY refreshing. I think the UI and Audio are definitely the strongest points, since the UI is clean and easily navigable and the sounds are satisfying and crisp.
Really, I think the biggest weakness all just stems from a lack of content, which of course is a pretty common theme in jams for good reason; on that point it's mostly just small things like not having an in-game indicator for selling to planets (which is something players like me forget a lot, lol) and having more variety to keep going long enough to get upgrades.
Altogether though, it's absolutely a solid entry with the level of polish with no bugs, and if you kept that level of QA with more content added, I'd 100% play this to get my trading fix, no joke.
I'm adding this to my follow list, should you decide to continue with it.

Developer

I appreciate your feedback a lot! Yes, the game will get updated and I’ll make sure to add everything that got left out due to the limited time, trust me there’s a lot of cool things i have saved up and if you enjoyed this small “experiment” then you will definitely enjoy the future for this game :D The UI and sound are indeed the best parts about my game and they’re mainly what im proud of, my graphic design skills were tested with these and i made sure to make them look clean and appealing! And yup, as said above there was way more content planned but due to the limited time a lot had to be left out, do be on the lookout though as they will most definitely appear later on! Thank you so much for your review once again!

Submitted(+1)

that game was a lot more fun than it looks, once you figure out the profit system!
nice concept

Developer

Thanks a big lot!

Submitted(+1)

Nice and simple—well done! The game is great, and the UI looks fantastic. I also noticed the cool detail of the smoke coming out of the spaceship.

Developer

Thanks a lot! To be honest the UI might be the best part about my game, everything else was on the lower side lol
