This was a very polished and enjoyable experience!

The animations, sound effects, music, and overall presentation all work really well together. Everything feels smooth and satisfying, and it's easy to see the amount of care that went into the details.

My only small piece of feedback would be the text glow effect. On my screen, some of the text occasionally looked a little blurry because of the strong glow. Reducing it slightly might make things easier to read while keeping the same visual style.

Other than that, great work! The game is fun, polished, and very satisfying to play.

thanks so much :) This was my first project employing Bloom so I wasnt quite sure how far to take it but I think you're right - less is more! Thank you for playing and your feedback!

You owe me new mouse! :D

Visually game is SO APPEALING! So simple mechanics yet so nicely polished!

I liked the the look of the game and also the animations

Very nice animations! 😄

The whole game looks really polished and professional. The music was great too and everything fit together very well.

My only complaint is that my finger almost fell off from all the clicking xD

Very smooth and satisfying to play! My only complaint is that the upgrades didn't seem to do much aside from the extra time. But that also leaves plenty of room for future upgrades  in a longer game!

Developer

thanks for playing. I think that the Candy Shop and Free Hit skills could maybe be buffed a bit, but that said if you max them and the damage upgrade, you can actually explode the pinata in 10 seconds if you can click really, really fast lol. Thank you for playing :)

Really liked how the game was balanced so you could explore the available upgrades. Of course there's potential for more mechanics like mentioned in the other comments, but this is really good as a prototype!

Developer

Thanks for playing! I spent a lot of time getting the 'system' in place so that adding more skills in future will be straight-forward and I have a couple I wanted to implement for the jam - like Critical Damage skill and an Unlock to let you use both mouse buttons to click with but there just wasnt enough time - I was honestly working till very close to the deadline just to get the current 4 skills in there. Will see how this prototype does - I would be interested in fleshing it out a bit more maybe if it does ok :)

This is a really well-made game! It looks fantastic and I love the upgrade sounds. It could use more upgrades of course, but this is a really fun concept and a good foundation. Great job!

I liked the part where the pinata exploded.

Super fun!  I can see the foundation for a super cool game, I'm just sad it ends so quickly (its a game jam, I get it haha).  I'd love to see the skill tree branches, pinatas get stronger, and some sort of antagonizing force that makes it more challenging.  Very cool!

I really like idle clicker and the pinata theme is a good one. The upgrade icons are nice, a little small but they influence me as a player to continue playing. Good creation!

What I’m interested in is how you animated the buttons? With sine curves getting smaller?

Would you play mine, please?

Developer (1 edit)

I have to tell you that discovering Tweening has been absolutely amazing for me. Nearly all the animation in the game happens with Tweening, and specifically DOTween which is a free asset on the Unity Store. That and standard Unity UI components. I have used sine curves in other games to create water effects and such which I dont think tweening could handle, and its many times more complex than what we did in this game. I will check out your game.

Edit: Also if you didnt try it, go full screen. I think the upgrade icons look ok full screen? But in a window yes I'd agree the detail gets lost.

Very interesting, I should start to experiment more with tweening! And thanks for rating my game. Did you already?

I really like the aesthetics and the music of the game! Was very quick and had a fun loop.

Great little game, had a surprising fun time with it considering its simplicity. The polish, the sound, music, animations, it all fit together in a tiny juiced packet

This felt very polished, the sounds and animations did make it fun to play. I’m not much into clicker games but did manage to secure the key to the disco-door :)

Very fun clicker game! And very cool graphics and audio design too!

Fun clicker game. I got a little aggressive and my hand hurts now ;) The music was great, did you make it yourself?

Check out our game if you have a minute!
