I agree with others that it doesn't seem the game is loading properly (no UI) and the controls are a bit difficult. I would often get stuck in a corner without really being able to see where I should be going. However, the art style and music were really great. Well done!

First of all: yay \o/ concept art! I enjoy watch the making process, whatever it is. I like the mood you tried to set, however the controls are a bit difficult, and I'm not sure the UI displayed correctly, I didn't have the battery gauge visible. I loved how the first tower lighten the area gradiently, however the others where straight on/off lights.

Nice concept, good job!

Amazing artwork ngl! Its impressive that you created the robot from scratch for a game jam! Here are some feedbacks:

  • The performance is a bit concerning especially on running on web. Pretty sure is caused by the massive amount of trees in the terrain. For this you can try occlusion culling which you can look it up on the web and see how it works. Basically it will cull all the static items that is not rendered by the camera which can save up a ton of performance.
  • Like others have mentioned, the camera is a bit difficult to control since it depends on purely keyboard input but not mouse input. I think it will feel a lot better with the mouse input for camera control.
  • At first I wasnt sure what to do since no visual indication / tutorial so im a bit confuse. For now i just feel like im wandering endlessly. Somehow i dont see any HUD like the battery gauge too for some reason.
  • Would love to have some audio feedback whenever you activate something / pick up something / low on battery.
  • The main menu does looks very nice tho. I appreciate the hard work you put into it ;D

But overall great work tho. I wonder how it will go if you expand it in the future. Hope these helps!

I could not agree more with you.  Every single point was on my to do list ^^ Sadly I got stuck on some issues so I lost massive time there and had no time to polish the game to my liking. So I completly understand all of your points and they are reallyfair.

Thanks for playing ^^

unfortunately, i kept getting reset to the start after walking a bit.

not sure if am doing something wrong.

the look and music are awesome

Developer

Yeah,  sadly I hat not the time to make a deadth screen... also somehow the web export does not have the battery UI that shows your  life so I understand that it is pretty confusing. x.x

Still thanks for playing and giving feedback ^^ Gonna look at your entry to, as soon as I have the time.

You have an amazing talent for drawing and modelling. Is there camera control? And then yeah, Good submission. Loved the robot and the procedural animation. Well done.

Developer

Thank you for your kind words ^^ I really appriciate them. Yeah I come from the artist side of all things and now stepping up to do some programming.

No there is no camera controll. It is pretty static, but should follow the player kind of smooth.

Thanks for playing and giving feedback. ^^

Really enjoyed the vibe, the controls and camera were a bit hard to figure out but the character you play looks really cool.

Developer

Thank you. ^^

Yeah, the controls and camera would have needed some work. I will improve next jam.

Thanks for playing and giving feedback.
