I also got fired after a duration of time despite having plenty of resources. Honestly, I love this and what it could grow into. Fun, relaxing, and a solid vibe. Good job!
Thanks for playing :) We need to iron out bugs and add a tutorial.
Well, I'm always fired after 13 days. I really have no idea how to play this. 😂😂
But it looks pretty cool, and it fits the theme well!
Thanks for playing :) We need to iron out bugs and add a tutorial.
City builders are one of my favorite genres, so this was right up my alley! It already feels really polished, and I like how it blends city-building with roguelike-style progression when leveling up.
I’d love to see a bit more polish around the UI and tutorial, and maybe a pause feature? (Though if the intended experience is reacting under time pressure, then that totally makes sense.) I also think it would be helpful if facilities showed a small hover panel with information like status, power consumption, and other key stats.
Great work — I had a lot of fun with it! :D
Thank you for the feedback and glad you enjoyed it! :) We have plans to build this out further, definitely with a strong tutorial!
Very interesting and relaxing game.
Thanks!
Good game, Art and UI look really polished.
Thank you!
Wow this is really impressive. I failed my first couple attempts because the first datacenters were really far away and it seemed like a tight time limit. But once I understood what I was doing I became unstoppable. It was really fun and relaxing.
Thanks! Glad you had a good time playing :)
nice idea
Pretty fun game you've got. I enjoyed it a lot but I always seem to be fired after day 13 for some reason. Not sure if thats intended or not but either way I had fun. Thanks for making it.
Thank you! There does seem to be an early-firing bug we need to iron out.
I probably could have used a tutorial, I kept losing track of what I needed to do and getting fired before the first data center was finished, but beyond that I thought it was a good game.
Thanks. We definitely need to work on user boarding / tutorial.
pretty good and polished, congrats!
Thank you!
Fun game loop, though if you make it past the 2nd or 3rd datacenter, it's pretty easy to scale things to a silly extent as long as you placed down warehouses. It also gets pretty laggy after a while.
Wow, you made it far! Thanks for playing and the feedback. We'll look into the performance issues after the jam.
wow, a lot of love went into that one. the game's goal is... a bit outside of my comfort zone, but I guess when I can stomach playing mass murderers in games, I should also be open to play the pioneers of late stage capitalism..
that's some really good pixel art and you made great use of that.
I think the "have enough resources before the building is finished" goal feels a bit arbitrary for a game over condition, but I totally get that it helped to keep the scope of the game manageable.
Thanks, glad the care we put in came through. Interesting feedback on the topic. We're aiming for a sort of light-hearted approach to the subject matter, but need to work on the storytelling after the jam.
Many points make this a legendary one. It blends many great gameplay and captures actuality with data centers + connects it with the theme!
Thank you for your kind words!
I love city-builder games, and this one is very fun! At first I was going to say you need to show the player how much power and water you need, then I saw the red bars. It is not very obvious though so I wish it is better communicated to the player. The workers seem to get stuck sometimes? Maybe I have just too many workers? Also, what does the bike shop do? Do they make the workers walk faster? A visual feedback would be nice like if you can show them on bikes. Any way this is how far I got before calling it quits:
Thank you. We do need to work on user onboarding / tutorials! As for bike shops - we just kinda ran out of time for bikes :)
Cool game, I could play this for a while.
Thanks! :)
After I got past opening the first DC things appeared to go smoothly... until out of the blue I got the Game Over again...
At some point it became sort of "too large to fail", and all you'd need to take care off would be not to miss a new DC construction site and pulling the pipes to connect it in time...
It also started to lag a lot...
Haha oh wow, you got further than we did in testing! Thanks for the feedback and for playing :) we'll look into more of the bugs and performance issues after the jam.
At first little too much messages and options but after some time it's a nice game. Me, I like interactive tutorials for strategy games. Cool idea.
Would you have a look on my game?
Thanks, we'll definitely work on the user onboarding / tutorial after the jam. And yes of course, I'll check it out :)
Fun game. The level up pop-ups started a bit too quickly since I was still getting a feeling for what I was supposed to do, but once I got going it was fun. The settings menu made me laugh as well! 'Yep!'
Thank you! Yeah we intentionally sped the progression up for the jam but made it too fast I think.
