AI Games

There are games on here purely made with ai like "馃浉 WACKY WALL STREET"  and "One Dollar Empire" when i present proof they just delete my comments or straight up disable comments. I'm reposting the proof that i got from Wacky Wall Street just using claude. i don't understand how they think its not obvious that its an ai game and they'd take it as far as lying about it.

Well, umm, where鈥檚 the actual proof, though?  Claude (or any AI) can generate code ofc, but humans also write code that looks exactly like this. I鈥檓 not defending the games but this screenshot alone isn鈥檛 evidence at all.

Cleanly commented HTML and generic div names aren鈥檛 unique to AI-generated code. It just looks as normal code structure with comments so maybe share more of that idk and also tell more of why do you think that's the case

if you play the game you can see the side icons are made with ai.  i didn't want to originally point it out because they would just change that aspect and keep all the ai code making it unfair for actual developers who put the time and effort into their projects. Just like how they changed the comments on the html when i pointed it out. They should be disqualified they have more than proved they are capable of lying about their work and pretend like they made it. ADDITIONALLY they changed the comments after being pointed out if that isn't proof enough. no real developer takes the time to add 30 dashes on top and below their comments.

thats kind of a stretch, you have no proof other than  the code looks AI. some people do code like that. im not saying they didnt use AI but from your screenshoot it doesnt mean we can harrass  them.

Submitted

side icons are ai AND he changed the comments after i pointed it out. they are guilty and they know it.

(1 edit)

I just checked out the stock game and the persons page, they have been making games since 2020 way before the AI thing boomed, so its not like a new account.. again im not defending them but it shows hes been making games for a while now.

Submitted (1 edit)

doesn't stop them from just using ai now. i don't think they even used an engine this time like they did their other games.

this comment is also suspicious. looks like something ai would write .

also notice how he changed the side icons after i pointed it out. it cannot be more obvious what other proof do you need. if he wasn't guilty then why would he change it.

the other creator  one you mention did start around 2025.... so not to sure about that one.

Submitted

I've put lots of dashes on top and below my comments sometimes for some websites :( tho u r right about the icons they do look like ai

Submitted (1 edit)

Uhh, alright bro, those 6 icons do look AI and that's the only thing we can say for sure. Neither of the code screenshots you shared prove anything at all.

Submitted

Actually it's impossible to penalize any submission with AI code, because we have no proof. The assets, yes we can clarify them. That's my point.

[OUTDATED - SEE REPLIES]

Okay I have to agree with @Gee_k, this game is very, very suspisious.

1. Along with the weird comment language(all worded like it was meant for someone else, rather than the programmer themselves), the method used to handle sound is odd. The game uses procedual generated sound using programmed sounds, which dosen't inherently mean it's AI, but would be very time consuming for a person to do(I would reccomend looking at the code for this if you don't get why I think it is odd).
2. The game was submitted 15 days before the deadline. Again, this dosn't inherently mean it's AI, but with the game complexity and tedium(as mentioned above) it seems unrealistic.
3. As Gee_K stated, the creator wouldn't need to delete comments and quickly change the game if the game was created in good faith. If you made a game entirely without AI and someone accused you of AI, likely your first response wouldn't be hiding the comments and evidence.

4. The creator posted anouther game for a different jam TODAY. This new game uses ai(the images in the game are very clearly ai), and like this game this new game was marked as "No AI used". The jam this game submitted to also had a reward, and the game was submitted 17 days before the end of this jam. The coding style was almost identical in this game and had many of the same signs that this one had.

Obviously, one of these factors wouldn't have any need for concern, but all of them makes it pretty clear what took place. At the very least I hope the jam moderators look into this because it seems highly likely to be almost entirely AI.

Quick Edit - I know Jam particpants should be suportive, but AI games in a non-ai jam with people who work really hard to make games should not be acceptable. Obviously no one should attack or harass the creator of any game, and any suspisions should aim to be respectful.

ok this is getting out of hand is is getting a little ridiculous so i figured to come in here and answer all these questions.

1.the game was programmed by myslef and my best friend who helped me out tremendously but didnt want credit, he just wanted to help me make the code and all the aspects. No AI was used.

2.ive been working on this game for months, you can even see i posted it before i even joined the game jam. I have a Tik Tok page where I鈥檝e been talking about my game and the way i built it for months now. Again no AI.

3.i asked my friend to help me change it because i did originally reply to the person who wrote this post but he replied again with harassment so i got tired of it and just asked my friend to help me change the code since that鈥檚 the way we originally wrote it.

4.yes the second game i uploaded to another game Jam does have AI, they鈥檙e was no rule against AI in that jam so i used it for images. And of coarse the coding is going to look the same. Me and my friend code the same and we like to keep things clean. And if you look at the other game it鈥檚 still a visual novel  style game that  is what I鈥檓 good at so obviously it鈥檚 going to look similar some it鈥檚 my specialty. And as for me marking the other no AI that wasn鈥檛 on purpose, i will definitely change that because i agree if something has used AI then it should be stated. But no AI has gone into this game i made, i worked so dam hard on this project and it kinda sucks it keeps getting called AI and this guy is having a witch hunt on me…..

i was never trying to harass you but you never said any of this when i called you out the first 2 times.  you just quietly removed comments and changed your code AND the ai images used as i was pointing it out. that is very suspicious, hence why i escalated. there are actually at least 2 pretty big reason why i think you game is ai that i haven't pointed out because as you have shown before, you would just change that aspect quietly. I have already emailed CoolMathGames with my concern with not just your game and presented my evidence and they did get back to me so its up to them to decide.

Submitted(-3)

i deleted your comment because you were the 2nd comment saying my game was AI when it clearly wasn鈥檛. The only comments i had where hate comments calling my game AI and that looks bad for someone that worked really hard on a game just to have the only 2 comments say it鈥檚 AI. I believed no one would even click on my game if they read that hence why i deleted it. But i apologize, maybe that was the dumb decision and i see that now.

as for the AI art, yes i replaced it because i had it as a place holder but it wasn鈥檛 my final product. I originally had emojis as the UI but i wanted to make an actual image because i thought they looked ugly so i put those as a place holder while i finish illustrating the correct ones. But now i see that was also a mistake. I have removed them and just went back to Emojis until i finish my final UI.

It鈥檚 fine if you report me, I鈥檓 not mad about that l, i just got tired of the endless bashing you were giving me. But i do understand your concern and will do anything you need for reassurance to prove otherwise.

thank you.

Thank you for clearing up the confusion have a great day/night

no problem. You as well.

since we鈥檙e on the subject…… did you at least try my game ? :(

i would love some criticism that鈥檚 not AI based lol

Submitted(+1)(-3)

And as for the other game jam i joined, i did not submit it 17 days before the jam??!! I literally submitted it with 3 mins  before the deadline, i submitted by the skin of my teeth.  Picture attached.

1.Firstly, thank you for clarifying some of this. I know it was probably stressful to have a forum made about your game. In the future you probably should just be honest instead of deleting comments because that is obviously going to weird people out.  The conflict was avoided, so obviously it escalated.
2. I honestly don't know how I read that date that wrong for the other game(oops), and I can see how you made the mistake with the AI marking, but I hope you can see how that seemed a little odd.
3. You should probably add something in the description that alludes to someone else helping you, even if indirectly. (Also, the rules require all team members info if money is won, so take that into account).

I'm glad you came forward to clear it up, but I hope you understand why we are concerned. Again, we were not targeting you for no reason. There were some weird details, and we were just sharing our concerns. I hope you understand.

Submitted

thank you. And yes i understand how i made instances worse by deleting so that one is on me. (Whoops)

and no worries i get it and will do anything in my power to show it鈥檚 not AI.

Submitted

Do not be afraid of hate comments bro. Just try to clarify any thing that is not true and right ones will see and understand.

Submitted

thank you man. I really appreciate that! I was just getting to me because I worked so hard on this and some people keep thinking it鈥檚 AI. But yeah, you鈥檙e right. Thank you for the support.

About this topic, if game is made by GDvelop, actually I have paytested for some submission it shows GDevelop engine, and as my knownledge, this is the AI engine. Hmm is it disqualified?

Submitted

making something with GDevelop doesn't mean it was made with AI, I've tested before and honestly the gdevelop ai is really really terrible. It mostly just uses visual scripting, its really good for prototyping although a bit restrictive for full games.

(1 edit) (+1)

Apologies for necroposting, but with the submission period being over (and me only discovering the topic today) I wanted to provide an example of a completely AI-created game outside of the jam to give people a reference point. This game was created as part of the AI Village series of experiments, entirely by AI agents. Take notes and see if you can draw any connections.
ETA: here's another

Submitted(+3)

It looks like AI, it smells like AI, it probably is AI. The text patterns and emojis are extremely typical of AI

Submitted(+1)

how do you get the source code of that game? unless, it was sent to you by the developer I have not clue!

a few of the games were made with web frameworks instead of game engines so if you do inspect element you can see everything, and elsewhere in the developer menu you can find the source code.

Thanks for bringing this up. The submission of completely AI generated games are a rampant problem I鈥檝e seen in many Jams over the past couple of years, especially ones with complete or partial AI restrictions. While it can be really disappointing to see, it鈥檚 really important to remember that a low effort game will get the judgment it deserves (AI generated or not). These AI games often suffer from many design flaws such as cluttering, poor readability, a mashup of mechanics that confuse the player, and no sense of clear direction. They all use the same web development framework, with the same pool of fonts, the same excessive use of weird looking emojis, and the same color palette choices. To those who think they can fool others into thinking their low effort prompt vomit is not AI generated, there鈥檚 nothing waiting for you at the end of it all. You know you put no real effort in and so does everyone else.
