This was short, but the lever, platforms and jumps were put together well to be a challenge.

Thank you for the game!

This was fun, I did die a lot though :)  I love the character's flaming red hair and the way you have to interact with the levers to get to the next platform.  Good job!

I think it looks really cool the way you have pulled those different assets together to create the look and feel of the game - great aesthetics, that could really have benefitted from some generic background music and a few sound effects! that would have taken it to the next level. I love the slowly rising lava and the sense of pressure it creates to land your jumps lol - extra points for 'fun'. I like that you had to think about how you were going to make some of the jumps as you couldnt just land every obvious jump. This was fun and it has potential. Good job.

Thanks for playing my game! And thanks for analyzing my game! Screening and hunting for coherent assets that are FREE did take up a few days actually while the development work took lesser time. The level design too was taking quite a bit of time as I play tested it quite a lot just to figure out the right amount of balance.  In the end I didn't get to implement more challenges that I had in mind as I ran out of time over the weekend.

Nice looking game. I enjoyed it a lot (although I couldn't see the lever at first and only saw it when I went full screen)

Developer

Appreciate you playing my game! I will fix my game's screen issue after seeing how others are dealing with it.

surprisingly tight platforming controls for a jam game! can't fault for missing sound, as i didn't get to that on my entry either and this is waaaay more polished hahaha

Developer

Thanks a lot for playing my game! Thanks for your kind words too! I will make sure I polish my game further with great music and sound!

Really tight platforming controls. The game is readable and enjoyable, even without the sound.

Developer

Thanks for playing my game! I will definitely work on the sound after the jam to make it more enjoyable!

Fun little game!  With some more level, SFX and BGM, this is a real winner!  Looking forward to the full release.

Developer

Thanks for playing my game! I totally agree with you on the SFX and the BGM. I will definitely work on those and some other level design ideas that I  planned for the game but unfortunately didn't have time to implement them.

nice game, controllers are sometime abit wacky.
with sound it would be much nicer.

your interpretation was the connection between the lever and the platform?

Developer

Thank you so much for playing my game! I am not completely satisfied with the collision detection and the animation. Get back to them when I am done with my school projects. The keyboard input in the web version is not that smooth, I will figure that out once I have got time. Yes there's connection between the lever and the platform but the more important connection is the connection pattern between the moving platforms that helps the player escape.

Nice, but no music :( Of course I kept in mind that later, with music and more puzzles, it will become an even more interesting game ;)

Developer

Thanks a lot for playing the game! I did have music and audio as well as other ideas in my original plan. I made mechanism for falling rocks that can hit the player while on the moving platform but decided to exclude it. I only gave myself 2 days to make the game and I have to get back to work on my school projects. So kept reducing the scope... But I will continue with lava run once I am done with my projects give it a proper completion.

such a tight concept .. I can see a whole genre spinning off of this .. really cool :) I'm just not naturally saying a sentence with "connections" while describing this game :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for playing my game! The only game I had more experience in making is platformer just because I only did some of those tutorials which happens to demonstrate similar mechanics. So I was just adding a little spin that those tutorials do not have. The "connections" are not that obverse, but if one does not figure out the "connections" in the game, one gets bbq by the lava.

Really enjoyed this one! The rising lava added great pressure, and I liked how the platforms were connected in a way that made you think ahead and use them together. The interaction-based movement felt clever and fun. Nice work!

Developer

Thanks a lot for playing my game! This is my first game jam, so this means a lot to me! I'm glad you had fun!
