Hi everyone!

After brainstorming my previous horror concept, I want to present a second, completely different project. This one is a Historical Fantasy Visual Novel / Narrative RPG set in a world of decayed luxury, political intrigue, and survival.

The Aesthetic & Setting: Think of the French Regency period, but darker and deeply scarred by war. The story takes place in a city that used to be the crown jewel of the high nobility, famous worldwide for exporting luxury flowers.

However, a brutal war against a faction known as "The Immortals" drafted every able-bodied adult and youth. Now, the war is over, but the city is left empty of men, corrupt, and starving. It is a hauntingly beautiful ghost town—a field of millions of flowers with no one left to buy them.

The Premise: Amidst the ruins, two brave caretakers founded the Lowell Orphanage, adopting seven abandoned girls. They renamed them after flowers based on their hair color, and each sister grew up embodying one of the 7 Fine Arts.

As they grow into adulthood, each sister will face her own crucible in a society desperate for resources: forced marriages, political revolutions, the dark side of fame, and survival.

The Lowell Sisters:

  • Peonia (Peony) - 19 years old - The Art of Singing (Music)
  • Glicinia (Wisteria) - 17 years old - The Art of Architecture
  • Buganbilia (Bougainvillea) - 16 years old - The Art of Dance
  • Hibisco (Hibiscus) - 15 years old - The Art of Literature
  • Rosa (Rose) - 14 years old - The Art of Painting
  • Flor (Lotus) - 14 years old - The Art of Sculpture
  • Amapola (Poppy) - 7 years old - The Art of War

Gameplay & Narrative Structure: The game would function as a multi-perspective narrative where the player's choices dictate the fate of each sister. Do they conform to the corrupt nobility to survive, or do they use their respective arts to spark a revolution?

What I bring to the table:

  • Deeply developed character arcs, branching storylines, and world-building.
  • Full scriptwriting and dialogue.
  • High flexibility: I am perfectly willing to scale the project down into an episodic format or adapt the mechanics to whatever limitations you have as a programmer or artist.

What I am looking for: A programmer (Ren'Py, Unity, Godot) or a 2D artist who loves historical drama, anime/gothic aesthetics, and character-driven stories. This is a Hobby/RevShare project aimed at creating a unique, emotionally heavy experience.

If this decadent, flower-filled world interests you, let's talk! Drop a comment or send me a DM.

Thanks for reading!

Hi, this project seems very interesting , is that artist part still available? I can easily adapt to requirements, my artstation with my works is listed in my profile, please check it out!

Hi. I just took a look at your portfolio and I’m absolutely blown away. Your painterly style and the way you handle textures fit the classic, melancholic identity I’m looking for perfectly. Specifically, that painting of the maid holding the yellow roses gave me exactly the vibe of the decadent, flower-exporting city I wrote about!

Regarding our status: the project is RevShare/Hobby. With me covering the narrative direction/writing and you on the main art, our next big step would be recruiting a programmer to complete the core team. If you are on board with this dynamic, I'd love to chat more. I don't use Discord, but you can send me a DM here or email me at jagyajure@gmail.com

yea im intersted!

Or, if you prefer, just leave your email here and I will contact you!

I have the Game Design Document (GDD) ready to share, so we can discuss what I have prepared right now and our roadmap for how we are going to build this project.

Is this paid job or collaboration?

Hello David. This project is a collaboration under a RevShare (Revenue Share) model. Our current goal is to assemble a passionate team to develop a short, highly polished demo for everyone's portfolio. If we decide to commercialize the final game, profits will be split equally among the team members. Let me know if you're interested in this setup or if you have any questions

Hi! I am highly interested in the premise of this project. Are you still looking for an artist?

Hi. Thank you so much for your interest. The project is a collaboration (RevShare/Hobby model), and we are currently building the core team (our main focus right now is finding a programmer).

I would love to see your portfolio or some of your work! In a visual novel/RPG, there's always room for different artistic needs like character design, backgrounds, or UI. Feel free to drop a link here or send me a DM

By the way, your avatar is super cute ! :-)

If you're still in search of a Programmer I could absolutely hop on board! I already have visual novel coding experience from my newest title anyways. Feel free to look at my work if you're still searching. I'm also very passionate about writing and can help with the lore if needed.

Your project picks up my curiosity. I like your world building. Will it include orphanage resource management mechanics and / or character development a la Princess Maker 2 ?

My skill set is probably not adequate for your game because I program custom engines focused on gameplay and never used Ren'Py, Godot or other. But I would like to learn how you manage the development of your game and read your GDD.

Hi ApoloJAGY,

I love your Gothic French-Regency project. I'm a music composer and want to join you as a Hobby/RevShare partner. Since Peonia represents Music, I'd love to create a melancholic soundtrack for her and the story.

You can listen to my work here: [VLOŽ ODKAZ NA UKÁZKY]

Could you please share your GDD? I’d love to read it and start brainstorming.

I know you don't use Discord, so email is perfect. (If things change, my Discord is: musicmuse99.
