The Learning Goals
My primary goal was to get back into game development after a long break, rediscover my love for making games. As for specific learning I was practicing my skills with the PlayFab backend. In particular practicing using cloudscripts, javascript, and JSON formatting in UE5.

Self-Evaluation
I could barely understand PlayFab's cloudscript before. By the end I was pretty easily writing my own functions without google.

Your Wins
I think really well. Very proud of the game I made. Content might be a little dry since its all player created content but the vibe and look of the game is really good.

Theme
I interpreted the theme in a more poetic way rather than literal/mechanical. The idea is to use your words to heal the emotions of others by showing support for their thoughts through planting flowers. You also "heal" the garden by planting trees and flowers. Additionally I used the seed object to plant the tree.

Nice Game. A start for something bigger. works well and did not crash, so I think you achieved your goal.

  • The Good:  character movement and SFXs works well. no loud music or sudden noise.
  • The Challenge:  small game, therefore no bugs or challenges appeared.
  • The Next Step: I don't know your goa, but if you picked a target and practiced more, then no advice is needed from me.

Welcome back to Game Development. I hope you stay and have fun. Good Luck.
