Ah, the tragedy of the Undead, classic grimdark. Fantastic work with the fading memories and Hank deciding into a single-minded zombie. Great story!
Very fun classic grimdark horror. If I would suggest anything its just to remove the lines where you've restated what the reader would find fairly obvious: reflecting on if he was one of those armored men. Although- having him question if his name had always been Hank had me second guessing what was obvious anyway, so well done!

Really haunting story. I liked how Hank’s fading memories and quiet confusion made the whole piece feel more tragic than horrifying, and the final detail with the flea was incredibly memorable.
