cool one tho

I remember playing something like this a while back, one of the flash games I guess, I don't remember the name. Idk where the idea was inspired from but imagine if it was the same one, how cool would that be.
The game needs a little bit more work tho:
First I understand the visuals and polish are not there because of the 10 day jam period.
Second when the ship is full load it is almost impossible to dodge the incoming projectiles, make it so they damage the cargo not the ship, so the game keeps running to the end.
One more thing I would like to add is if you plan to work on it further, add levels to reduce the repetitiveness of the game.
The idea is pretty solid and mechanics are also there, some polish and you'll have a great game.

Hey, interesting game. The concept somewhat is familiar in my head, but I don't know from where.

I would say the mechanics you have are very well implemented. The drifting just works, and that's what makes the feel of this game imo. So you nailed the most important thing!

You also got me with the school bus, that came unexpected xD

Thank you very much iyurael!

Very useful comment I am added to my todo list to further my plan after this game jam for my game :)

That was the first time I’ve seen a school bus used as a projectile.

I had a little party with the music :D so cool!

I was laughing so hard when I saw what objects were intended to fall onto the boat :DDD
The movement was smooth, and it was nice to see a boat on the water =) good game! =)

I thought this was a fun game. It took me a minute to figure out where the loading station was, but after that it wasn't too hard to play.

Developer

Thank you for playing my game!

I sure is taking notice people struggled at beginning finding out how to play so I will have to improve it more once the jam is done.

By the way I tried to play your game too. Does your game has web game mode? I licked it but for some reasons, it is kind of hanged at loading screen (I did see the grey bar), did you use Unity to make the game or other tools maybe i can figure that out. I do see a Windows download but I just switched from Windows to Linux since beginning of the year and due to accident (going to blame Gemini for it)... causing  me unable to go back so I have been on Linux only for pretty much half a year now... LOL not sure i can go back though.

I do have an older version of unupdated Windows running through external SSD for one competitive game that i play but that thing is not safe to install anymore stuff without it crashing :P

My game is a Unity game, and it has a WebGL build for browser play, but I have gotten multiple comments mentioning that the game would take a long time in loading. mlwgames suggested that it might be because I have the game load straight into a cutscene (which is very data heavy) versus a main menu (which would be less data heavy), so I'm probably going to try and create a main menu at some point after the jam ends.

Also, I'm working on releasing a Linux version of the game so that non-Windows users can still play the game, so you can try that one out if you want to.

I was a bit confused at first and i would've liked a restart buton. I did like that the projectiles became more and more ridiculous. And i think the idea is pretty good! Good job!

I like the bus it put a shock value and humor. I am just kinda confuse on the cargo if its empty or not the boat doesnt tell only on the text above. Also the camera on the main game should stick to 2nd person view because theres already a minimap so no need to pan out the camera. Great game

Fun little game.

I'm not sure if I noticed any currents or drifting (I used to spend a fair bit of time on the water), but it was fun.  While the concept satirises and references current world events, the doesn't comment or elaborate on any of that.  It's just a game, with a quirky cannon shooting school buses at wooden boats ...

Thanks for the game.

I had a really good laugh about this, at first i thought 'this is easy' and then i fully filled the ship with cargo and went slow as hell. :') Bit confusing where to find the cargo at first though.

Man they are really angry they shot a bus full of kids at me D:

I was confused at first where to get the cargo and had to see the screenshots , so I would make t hat more apparent next time.
