I like how the doors opened to an adventure genre twist!

Great work! I liked how you turned Pac-Man into a rougelike type game.

  • The intro music grew on me :)
  • The movement sound had that nice waka waka feel
  • Liked the CRT effect
  • Was always looking forward to spending gems in the shop, speed boost is a game changer
  • Sometimes it took a long time for a shop to spawn
  • It was not really clear to me if there was a goal (I imagine there is no final level, so a high score screen could be nice)

Thank you for the review. Yes in the original scope I had some more combat style plans and a boss to end the game, but ran out of time so it just finished as an endless runner with a game over screen + total score. I also probably needed to better weight the room type spawns as agree its frustrating if you don't get a shop.

Really liked the art style; it gave me Nexomon/Pokémon vibes. The level design was great, and exploring each new room was super enjoyable

I like the idea of it being dark in the room, like being in a cave in older pokemon games. i think that makes for an interesting challenge. i think the game could use more work for sure, like more sound effects and enemies.
i like the idea of a procedurally generated dungeon that you collect gems and use them as a currency to open doors and buy items, i think those things are fun.

This game is a lot of fun, I'm interested in seeing just how far I can get. Great twist on the game.
