Love it. Initially I thought it was going to be a reskinned version of Snake. The sounds effects and "gobble gobble" text made it more fun and the fruit explosion at the end was a touch of genius. Very well done.
This is a surprisingly well polished game for a game jam in general, but especially for one as short as this! Well done!
Great game! I recorded my playthrough which could be helpful: Gobble Up! | Cap Recording
I think this is a great scope for a Trijam, the vision was clear and you've added a bunch of polish. Having the menu teach you the movement mechanics before playing was a smart move, the surprise at the end was a lot of fun. A great foundation for a game you could continue building on! Well done 🐍
yoooo I appreciate the recorded playthrough, and glad you liked it!
I think you should add more mechanics to give the game more depth. Maybe have items you need to avoid, or certain fruits that are worth more than others.
I totally agree, those were mechanics I actually had plans to implement but I tried to not go too far over the 3 hour time limit. Thanks for the feedback :)
Beautiful images and a well-chosen melody! Good idea for a mini-game!
Kinda was thinking it was going to be a snake style game due to the GIF.
Happy and sad about that 💚
Great job on the game and the art is very cute.
The art is so cute! Amazing level of polish for such a short dev time!
Thanks! That was something I really tried to focus on improving this time around, glad you liked all the art :)
