i have a big issue

i do not know if it is a skill issue or just the game but the start feels too hard to play
like you start with no weapons , in an area where you need 6-8 hits to beat something and they only need 4 hits to kill you , while also not having anything to see so you stumble around for longer
i hope that it is just me not doing something right because it makes a fun idea into an anoyance to play

(also a small question , is the ai usage untill you find an artist or is it made to stay as ai ?)

alr so i found out you can sneak around , also i didn't know i had a flashlight at the very start , game feels more fair when you can just lower encounter chances so you have time to walk more than 8 tiles before a fight

Nah I kinda agree, if it had the ability to choose a difficulty and if this was one of the harder difficulties then I would understand but you don't even get to choose that, the encounters are way too sudden and quick, if you don't stealth you fight again after barely moving down one hallway and even using stealth only really increases the tiles you walk by a bit, also while I understand it's a dev choice, I despise the mechanic of having to reach a bed to save, always hated mechanisms like that in games, other than that, this game has a lot of megumi but I do hope these things change on the full release of the game (I believe this is only the demo?)

Hey, thanks for the feedback.

Outside the very first room you start in, there's both a knife and a gun on a body you can loot and use, so make sure you pick those up. Also, I did lower encounter rates slightly in the latest hotfix, so there's that for now. Using Stealth effectively lowers the amount of steps you take to one third of normal, so it should significantly reduce encounter rates (If it's working properly.)

The AI usage is to stay. Apologies if that is an issue.
As for difficulties, I do plan on adding an Easy and a Hard difficulty in the future.

try to make something to indicate the body is an interactable if you can then , there is 0 way to know the body had loot on it from what i saw , so i was fighting with my fists the entire time

also i went back to the start to find that body and i can't find it , and i did the whole basement

The body is lit up with a lighting effect and has a green sparkle on, which is how I indicate interactibles. It ought to be right outside the room you started in. Just a skeleton lying on the ground, on floor B1.
There aren't really any other options innately in RPG Maker MZ to make it clearer, as far as I'm aware.
I didn't want to make it mandatory to pick up the items, in case somebody wanted to ignore them for a challenge run in the future.
Hope this helps!

if you mean the skeleton torso behind a note near the stairs to the upstairs part of the spawn area , the note is blocking it
if not then there might be an issue since i can't find it , and i remade a new game and checked everywhere to find it
can you send a picture or smt , it might help me actually find it

Developer

I think I see the issue here. I think you downloaded a bugged version I had uploaded for about 30 minutes the other day.
The start position was totally incorrect in that version as I had set it for testing purposes. Please re-download the game and start a new game. Sorry if that's a bit of a pain!
I tried to fix it as fast as possible, but I think a handful of people still downloaded it. Again, sorry about that!

ah so it's a version issue , alr i'll see if re downloading works
