real fun game, I played a few times!

My only issue (maybe I just messed something up) my mouse wouldn't stay locked in.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback and yeah i have been working on bugs fixing and features.

I really like the use of the limitation here and the visuals are veryy charming! I didnt play much, I got to 78 high score but I had fun regardless! Good job!

9921! Feels like a real classic arcadey entry, like a snake or a tetris, love me a small ruleset and escalating mechanics. One thought I has was I wonder if there's a way to do the spike removal / cycling without the mouse? the aiming/shooting feels like an element that kind of tethers it to that control scheme, whereas I'd love to have a go at this on a d-pad.
The visual style is really clean, though I think that comes at the cost of being a bit plain, the player and blips could have some funkier design imo! Overall quite impressed with this entry, slick work!

I really like this! The gameplay and art style are both very clean and simple while being so effective. Also, the pseudo CRT monitor look is awesome. Very cool game!

Thanks

Neat idea. I didn't really feel a need to shoot. I just spammed the space bar so I could hover in the middle which was really easy to pull off.

this is a lot of fun! my only note is that the spike spawn warning could be a little more obvious. this has potential of being expanded into something that scales into really fun chaos with more obstacles and such. really lovely presentation as well. great job!

Would have been way more fun if I could see where my mouse was, as it felt imposible to aim. Without the seeing the mouse cursor, I couldn't aim well in midair, sometimes it would "randomly" jump as the character crosses the cursor, and the effective sensitivity would change based on how far the character is from the cursor. If this was changed to maybe having a target icon follow the mouse position, I likely would find the game much more fun. Other than that, I feel like having the screen rotate 90 degrees every now and then would force players to deal with the spikes on the walls, as I felt like targetting them didn't help and only got me killed.

Thanks for the genuine feedback! I really appreciate it. I'll be working on those fixes—there's still a lot left to polish. The target icon and screen rotation suggestions are both great ideas, and I'll definitely consider them for future updates.

Man, it was fun! My best was 6518, but only because I missclicked the gravity button! A very cool experience with entertaining and creative mechanics! Good job!
