Use of the limitation
The player (behind the keyboard) is responsible for the outcome of the game. They can end the whole world just because they get bored. Also, the player character's urge to press the button makes them a threat, or an enemy, to all of mankind.

what can I say, i pressed the button.
Super cool atmosphere!

Developer

Haha, there certainly was a lot of pressure to press it. Glad you enjoyed!

What a fantastic eerie atmosphere you've created!

When I was playing the latter part, my hand had already left the mouse, but the button pressed itself. What's going on?

Developer(+1)

You might've stepped on a small button that was lying around? Or maybe it got to the 7 minute mark, where there's a little event that happens that presses the button. Thanks for playing, glad you enjoyed!

Very creepy sfx. Love the little details like the pov shifting towards the button slowly. Really cool!

Glad you enjoyed, thanks for checking it out!

It's a great concept! Unfortunately I was struggling with some lag in the game. Keep up the good work :)

Glad you liked the concept! I think a lot of stuff that was fine in engine was too laggy on web :( Bit of an oversight on my end. I did a few optimizations recently if you want to give that a shot, but no worries if you don't. Thanks for checking it out!

I really want to play the game but it seems to have a lot of performance issues :(

Pretty cool idea. Just a bit buggy. (I fell out of the map somehow)

Developer(+1)

That's an odd bug, haven't seen it before. Maybe physics lagging out once I exported to web, idk. Thanks for playing!

I wasn't expecting much from the thumbnail but once you get past the title screen, the game instantly feels scary. I immediately pressed the button lol, and didn't realize that loses the game.

I think the game does very well to create a spooky atmosphere, well done!

Developer

Yeah, I was pretty exhausted by the time I finished and just used a picture of a button for the thumbnail, haha. Glad the atmosphere worked and thanks for playing!

I found this game’s concept very interesting. The idea of a button that you are told not to press, but are still completely free to press, creates a strong psychological tension. It’s simple, but very effective in making the player curious and cautious at the same time.

The sound effects are on a very high level — honestly, they are excellent. The moment you press the button and everything changes, the audio really stands out with intense screams and chaotic sounds, which makes the experience genuinely unsettling and keeps you on edge.

I also think the limitation was used in a very creative and original way. Instead of just being a restriction, it becomes part of the core idea of the game itself, which is something I really liked.

The visuals are also very solid and fit the mood well, supporting the tension and overall atmosphere of the game.

Developer

Glad you liked it! I definitely tried to make the atmosphere feel tense, so I'm happy to see it worked. Thanks for playing!

Just rated it max! Very creative use of the theme and funny concept. Hope you enjoy our terminal horror game "SIGNAL-66" as well! Good luck on the jam! 🦾🚨

Thank you!
